Dont you think niantic just trolling around?
In dragonite, before the update you had dragon breath and steel wing, one desired for offense one desired for defense
But now you have dragons tail and steel wing, and DT is way better in both situations, by far not that close like it was with the other two
so iam here wondering why the hell niantic does this kind of stuff, whats the point of having fireblast and overheat in the same pokemon when one is clearly better in all aspects and if you get the other one you get bummed
Niantic should not be this bad honestly, just get people bummed i post this because i am bummed lol
They do this to keep players playing, but they are doing it in a way that may backfire.
Some players may go "now that Fire Blast is inferior in every way, I need to grind for another Charizard with Overheat, maybe buying some incubators will help me get more Charmanders"
Some players go "wow, yet another unexplained, unannounced update that changes the battle parameters, fuck this shit because I am not going to invest any more time and money in this game"
I totally agree with you, it can be understandable from a bussiness perspective but I really think if they keep doing this my interest for the game will go down fast, I have invested so much on mon like Poliwrath (just to see submission replaced by dynamic punch), Alakazam (Psychic worst than Future Sight) or Charizard (Fire Blast has nothing to do vs Overheat).
For me the problem is dust, not even candies, if dust was easier to get it will be just another "challange" to get again the mon with better moveset, but being dust like it is at this point I feel very betrayed, they are punishing people that is investing on the mon they want to fight with, what is the point of spending 250k dust on a mon if 3 months after he will get a better moveset?
If they are gonna keep doing this (I think they will) they should really reconsider giving like double dust or so for each action on the game, either hatching, taking gyms, catching...
