Are you little bit concerned???
I havent rlly been very active with the game anymore.
Now i started few new projects but same time i remember what happend once....Arcanine got nerfed.
That was rlly sad day for me, cus for me:
Arcanine was pokemon to get higher spot in the gym.
So Rhydon took his place and i had to start all over again.
Now i have long time projects with 82% chansey and 82% dragonite and im scared that when im finally done, this same shit will happen again.
Some big changes come and ruin all my hard work.
(plan to power up dragonite until 3000+ and plan to get all candys to get blissey)
I think it was even stupid move by Niantic to leak out some new gym changes coming.
How can anyone rlly enjoy playing currently?
Dont get me wrong, i enjoy my projects now, but how many times i wanna see my projects go down to toilet?

Happened to me with my big Poliwraths (B/IP and B/HP), to my Slowbro (C/P) and also Lapras. I still use my Lapras everyday but I cannot put him in gyms anymore.
Poliwrath : CP and Bubble nerf.
Slowbro : CP and Psychic nerf.
It will happen again in the future but I doubt they'll ever touch Dragonite. But who knows? :-)
Yes yes, thanks for more reminders xD
I just remember arcanine, cus i used them much more....for gym placement.
But also loved my 25dmg bubble poliwrath, but i only used it in certain situations.
I still like my confusion + ice beam slowbros.
Mines dont have best IV, but i think they are still beast.
Confusion hits like truck, so cp doesnt tell full truth.
Also ice beam is nice vs grass types and especially dragonite.
I guess Ampharos could be one potential threat these days, but not in my area, here electric types very rare.
You just have to play knowing any changes will ruin your current mons/game. That's the nature of any online/living game.
EVERYONE was affected like you so for me, I had 2 maxed Lapras and walked near 300km so we are all in the same boat...
I neither cry or feel that bad honestly.
The best way to play is just play conservatively and always have star dust, candies and don't evolve stuff you might not need.
I've been powering up mons to get in gyms, but now have over 700k dust again and can generally collect close to 100 a day now.
Also, try to max a range of defenders because if they decide to nerf Dragonite and make, say gym rankings by Stamina or something, he doesn't even crack the top 25 anymore in Stamina.
This way, any changes they do won't mess you up that much and you can just roll with it and be ready since you've been saving dust and candies all along.
Like I never evolved a Machamp since his moves sucked and I had over 250 candies when gen 2 hit.
Moves also can change and great moves (Alakazam PC/P) can be not the best anymore (same goes for Charizard, Dragonite, etc...).
I play daily at a steady rate so my play hasn't change...It's an endless grind either way, but I don't mind and I'd say if it becomes no fun, time to take a break or find something else to do.
Just collected 8x 10km eggs now and walking 1 of them now at a time since I didn't want to "waste" my walking since I didn't get any new eggs yet.
Plan to have 7-9 10km eggs to get ready for Easter (there will be an event for sure) so that's my "project" now.
Maybe I can finally get a Dragonite or Snorlax.
