Any Spoofing Problems in your area
Didn't have any problems til 2 days ago, a spoofer has all 10 gyms on a 1 mile stretch of road that use to be fun to battle between all 3 groups on a daily basis. Now this person took down all gyms and filled them to level 10 will all Blisseys and Tyranitars will a multitude of accounts, as soon as you start attacking 1 he shows up to boost it back to level 10 in a matter of seconds, really makes me want to quit unless Niantic solves this problem quickly. Anyone else having issues like this. And yes I know hes spoofing cause he can take a level 10 gym down and raise it and fill it to level 10 in 5mins and trust me there is no way 10 people are anywhere close to these gyms when it happens

Record Device 1. Make sure you see the time.
Catch the battle marks/timing.
Do a panoramic of Area to show no one around
And back to looking at Gym once the Pokémon in it.

Do you happen to live in NL? Since 2 days the same has happening in my area. One and the same player has 8 different accounts:
- Puts in a raichu of 25/26 CP
- Trains the gym up to level 10
- Puts another 7 Blissey in it
- Leaving 2 open spots
I have tried battling it but it takes me about 1.5 to 2 hours to take down a level 10 gym fulled with Blisseys, only to lose it within the hour again
Here spoofers appear mostly at night or at least after sun set here. They are like Vampires in that sense. I made a list of common spoofers with my friends to study their pattern. Boy, do I have a long list.
At weekends I would go hiking to destroy their evil nest (the think gyms deep in mountains are safe, oh but so wrong).
And I shall fight every last of them as long as I have Potions and battery and time.
I had the same problems a few months ago, i dont think is spoofers, i'm convinced is bot or something.
There are 2 gyms in a 3 minute walk radius, so my brother and I split to take both but practically instantly they were taken down reclaimed, so there is no way even a spoofer to take them that fast. We fought a couple of times trying to make him run out of revives or pots, but no luck. We retreat frustrated. But in a manner of weeks it just disappeared. Maybe he got banned or just got tired i dont know. But was very frustrating
A spoof uses a program to fake GPS coordinates. This allows them to attack gyms without being there.
A bot is a program that allows a user to automate a sequence of buttons. For example walk in a circle and farm items or walk 40 KMs every day.
I think what you are seeing is 2 players on their computers playing as a team. Technically this would be organized team of spoofers not a bot. I dont think a bot on gyms would be effective and 2 high level players can take down 10 Blisseys with minimal potions or effort.
50 yellow gyms here for 6 months plus. Welcome to the club. Best thing is to cripple the gyms and leave 2 blisseys at the bottom with 34000 or 24000 prestige. It will force them to build accounts with strong attacker if they dont have them already. Its not much but it will frustrate them immensely...
What exactly is there end game? I love playing Pokemon go because it gets me out of the house at and make my jog more interesting. Why would a spoofer/botter go through so much trouble to do this? I'm a pretty casual player, I don't think I've ever had more than 5 mons in a gym.... Surely there's a limit to how many coins you can collect in a day, right? After these turds banking on making real money on this somehow?
Yeah, I've had the most annoying and aggressive gps spoofer in my neighborhood for 8 months now. His name is Rhlieu. Like many others have also posted, he just sits his avatar on this gym and takes it down constantly. He'll do it as soon as you take it down and there is no one around. The first couple months, he'd only do it in the middle of the night (that's how I first caught him), I believe out of fear of getting banned. But for several months now he does it all day every day because he's realized Niantic isn't going to do a single thing about him. Hey, if you're getting away with scummy cheating, why stop? That's the only logical thing about this player, other wise it makes 0 sense to me. It's pointless, rude, and ruins the entire point of the game! If you can't get out and play, then don't play! It's PokémonGO, not Pokémon"couch" or "home"... man I hate this guy. Anyways, welcome to the club. I feel ya man, it's annoying as all get out.
