Chansey and IV

I have 2 lvl 20 egg hatch chansey but the one with higher IV % has lower CP, I can evolve one but I was wondering which one I should do. Also having FoE because of the announced gym overhaul, bit scared that CP will be less important. Anyone has tips?

transfer both, then you won't have this problem.

The IV distribution for Chansey/Blissey is more important than most other mons. The % means very little, the distribution is key.

For a look at how IV effects Blissey's CP...
(stats given as Stamina/Attack/Defence)

For CP at level 30.

15/15/15 2759CP
14/15/15 2756CP
15/14/15 2740CP
15/15/14 2753CP

So, in conlusion, at level 30 for Blissey
1 IV to Attack is worth 19CP
1 IV to Defence is worth 6CP
1 IV to Stamina is worth 2-3CP

Personally I use the CP calculator on this very site (a subset of the IV calculator)

https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/cpcalc#/

I act as if it is a lvl30 mon, that I want to train up to lvl30 (it does work), and then tweak the Att/Def/Stamina stats and look at the impact it makes on the resulting CP in the result window below.

It can be very handy when deciding which mon to evolve or to invest in.

Another interesting mon to try is Alakazam, where stamina is the stat that will have the greatest effect on CP.
Have a play with it...it can be a very useful tool.

Lax and vaporeon have similar stat trends just less extreme so the same is true just not to the same extent as Blissey.

In general attack will the greatest effect on CP and between HP and Def it comes down to which one the pokemon has least of

I would suggest plugging in some numbers for them and have a look...it is a worthwhile experience (at least I think so)

I'd go for the one with a higher CP.

These 'nerds' are aware that if you hatched both, then there is no difference in the candy required to get the mon to a specific level, so the one with higher IV but lower CP is going to provide no benefit.

What you call 'nerd'...I call 'informed'.
Perhaps you may find it advantageous to stop looking at 'informed' as if it something you can attempt to belittle in a manner that only displays your ignorance, and actually try to learn from those better informed than yourself.

EDIT Removed my edit...it appears it was reversed
