I feel the same way. They almost have to do something to do with candies whether the statement was intended as such or not. But so far, nothing about St.Patricks day. I'm not saving my candy for another month. Just don't have room for all of those Pidgeys, Rattatas, Weedles, Sentrets and Ledybas (I don't see many Caterpies in my town).

Will the "save your candies" prompt something more than it should have
We've all been wondering what the "save your candies" statement means. Whether or not it meant anything when it was said I think that the hype might actually spawn some sort of event. It would be careless of them to not back up a statement that has sent shockwaves amongst the pokemon go community.
