Nopes, Arcanine is better. Not only does Fire Fang attack faster, Arcanine also has significantly more HP than Flareon. While Flareon's attack power is slightly higher, Fire Fang is still better.
I generally don't even care much about the charged attacks because for the majority of the pokemons, these attacks are too slow and the additional damage is marginal... I'd much rather dodge and keep attacking than get hit 1-2-3 times for free for a few DPS more.
Please if you have no clue about the game be quiet. It's not helping other people when you talk crap.
Flareon does more DPS and gets more EPS (energy) which means it can use Firestorm more often than Arcanine could. And defense stats are useless since both Flareon and Arcanine are attacking Pokemon.
Use your dodges...
I am starting to notice that dodging the charge attack is pretty easy and the key to taking down higher level Pokemon in gym battles. I still use my charge attack but I hold on to it until the right moment, mainly because it opens me up to counterattacks. Which is another way of saying I've seeing about the same thing that IOIIIOI is seeing. While I don't have an Arcanine, I do think it is a better fire type Pokemon than Flareon. And I do have a pretty good Flareon. Charizard should also be in consideration as there isn't a big gap between Arcanine, Flareon and Charizard. But I'm leaning towards Arcanine due to the higher hp and cp, and comparable damage/energy per second numbers.
Lets just face it, fire type still sucks, cus ember and fire fan still sucks. They both have near 1 sec cool down and do 10 dmg. When the defending AI attacks every 1.5 sec, you can only attack once unless you dont dodge. Other faster skills like water gun can do 3 attacks and still dodge (18 dmg), slower skills like confusion can do 1 attack and dodge(15 dmg). They all better than the awkward 1ish second cool down moves.
This is why wing attack charizard and bite arcanine are considered better within their own kinds.
