This is a request for you to brag. I want to see where I stack up (I don't expect that I will compare favorably to many). Please indicate your level and playing style.

I'll start. Level 32. I battle infrequently. I run purchased incubators constantly. I use a go plus at work, and walk at lunch.

Oh my! That 98% IV Blissey with ZH/DG. I'm salivating.

I'm still recovering from all of the dust I spent on that one. This is what she used to look like.

Up

I would have spent every last dust and candy on it.

I was unsure if I should power her up. Then I got drunk one night and went to town.

The drunk power up. Hope that was the worst thing you done that night. Haha

My pride and joy is my 93% DB-DC Dragonite (15a/14d/13s). I've got a bunch of mons posted in my box, but this will always be my favorite. It was the first Dragonite I evolved, and he's been my main attacker since September.

It pains me that I don't have that mon. I caught a DB/HB in my living room in the early days. That was what got me hooked. I hadn't even heard of Dragonite at that point.

I'll trade you one of my DB/DC for your ZH/DG Blissey :D

Up

I'll trade you my ZH/DG Blissey around 83% I didn't power up for your Lapras w/ similar IVs & FB/IB or B. I also have a high IV 93% Chansey up for trade.

I have a 76% IV Lapras with FB/B at 1900 CP. it's my main Dragonite prestiger. What level is that Blissey?

How about your 98 IV Blissey ZH/DG for my 96 IV level 35.5 Dragonite DB/DC? I'll throw in a low level Lapras with FB/IB too.

Up

Maybe a DB/DC Dragonite and a ZH/BS Snorlax. I can't imagine trading her for less.

Up

Deal. I got a low IV around 60ish but over 2500 CP snorlax with ZH/BS. You'll be getting two legacy mons.

Oh man. Getting expensive. I guess I have enough time to think about it.

Level 34. No candies to max out my 93.3 DB/DC, 91.1 DB/DP and 93.3 ZH/BS.

Up

I envy your 93% IV Snorlax ZH/BS. My highest IV one is 87%.

Up

Around 70% IV Dragonite w/ DB/HB I will max out. I have higher IV and better Dragonites but this one will always remain sentimental. I will also put my low 85 IV 2900 Vape w/ WG/AT in there I won a lot of battles w/ those 2. Eventually I had to move on lol but they both will always have a place on my team.

lol it was the first 2K Pokémon I had gonna have to take it to 3K and I used Nickname on it lol! More sentimental than actual value.

My three crown jewels are:

Level 35.5 100% IV DB/DC Dragonite (my first ever Dragonite)

Level 35.5 100% IV DT/O Dragonite (just evolved it last night)

Level 35.5 87% IV ZH/BS Snorlax

I'm still working on hopefully getting a ZH/DG Blissey and a B/SE or Crunch Tyranitar. Chanseys and Lavitars are so rare in my area. But got a crapload of Dratinis everywhere - more so since Gen 2.

wow congrats on those 100 Dragonites :)

Thanks. I gave a huge fist pump last night when I saw the DT/O moveset. One before that gave me SW/HB. Haha.

Up

There is nothing worse than evolving SW/HB. I just did it myself. Starting over is so difficult.

Those nites are like the holy grail. I got lucky that so many Chansey's spawned in DTLA during the Valentine event. I caught my ZHDG at level 6, and spent a ton of dust to max him. I don't regret it....

Up

I'm so jealous. Haha. I was swamped with work during the Valentine's event - couldn't play much during that time. Friends were telling me that they were catching Chanseys like crazy. And that's a huge thing considering the rarity of them in my area.

I joined on 2/23/17 and I'm level 18. The first wild pokemon I caught was a Natu, which I will never get rid of. He's now at 1056 CP and can't go higher until I level up. I've attacked a gym 3 times, and have won 2 battles. I habitually read this site and a few others to better learn about this game.

Welcome to Pogo. DO NOT POWER UP THAT NATU ANYMORE!!! I've made the same mistake powering up commons when I first started. Save your dust and candies until you reach at least high level 20's. In fact if I had to start over again I wouldn't power up anything until reaching level 30.

It's tough advice to hear, but it's probably worth heeding assuming that (1) you expect that you'll want as many high-level top mons as possible later on, and (2) you'll hold interest in the game until level 28 (or so) without allowing yourself to power up odd favorites for non-strategic reasons along the way.

Edit: I like your plan for a great and powerful Xatu, since you're not into (1). Someday I might juice up my 100% Ledyba with its top defensive moveset, now that I'm running lower on things to do in the game.

It's a Xatu now, and I will power it up. My game, my choice. This thread said brag, so I am. 10 CP to 1056, and I have every intention of maxing it out. That's how I want to play this game. I've also lost nearly 6 pounds since I started, and my whole intention is to lose weight. I will attack gyms at random, not to conquer them, but just to give me something to do every now and then. When you walk 10km a day, sun or snow, you need something other than catching every Natu that appears on your walk. Worrying about winning and losing, holding a gym... not my thing. Losing weight, making new friends, keeping my Xatu topped out, that's my goal. It's a game, not life and death.

Amen to that. Your game your way. Respect.

Btw, did you give it a nickname?

Up

My Xatu? Yeah. First. Lack of creativity for a reason. I don't want to transfer it. I also favorited it. Secondary precaution.

Lvl 35, looking for a Dragonite DT/O but no high IV Dratini in 2 months.
I play with 5 other people, in a small city.
Run about 10kms a day.

Up

Drooling over that Tyranitar walking for candy to power it up.

Up

Down

lol I didn't see the moveset. Awesome Pokémon tho :). You got one before most ppl be proud of that.

Up

For offense or defense? DT/O is without a doubt the best defensive moveset. For offense it's debatable.

Up

Down

Actually I want it for offense, my SW/O will do in your opinion?

Up

Down

Any DT is probably better than SW/O on offense.

How much time do you spend battling each day? I can't imagine having so many mons in gyms.

Up

Down

I run little more than 2 hours in the morning, then in the night, I play about 3 hours with some friends.
A few months ago, my city was much more divided, now we pretty much own it! ?

Level 33. My playing style involves getting to know nearby areas and seeking strong, stable gyms to prestige (if this is what you mean by style); I rarely find utility in attacking enemy gyms.

My favorite is a 7-month-old, 100% AT Vaporeon - my Rainer. It's probably helped me earn at least 1500 coins and 75000 dust from a dozen or so different gyms over time.

Second-favorite is a 4% Porygon that I got right before the Valentines event that effectively completed my Gen1 dex. Third is my only old-legacy mon: a 68% Quick Attack/Hydro Pump Starmie. Fourth is a 91% IS/B Lapras. Fifth is a 100% TS/Thunderbolt Jolteon. Sixth is a 91% Dratini that I hope will make something of himself one day.

Kudos for your patience with the name trick. I used mine on some level 5 trash.

I wish I had more time to explore and battle, ad the game would probably be more rewarding.

Level 35. I battle every day and my area is very competitive. I've caught more than 100 Snorlax (not spoofing) so my Snorlax Army is my pride and joy. For my top mons, I've kind of got them memorized so I don't list their movesets, but the 91 Snorlax is ZH/HB and my other 3000 Snorlax are ZH/BS.
