News announcement says new clothes and avatars

There is an in-game annoucement stating that "new clothes and avatars" are available. Looking at the options, I don't see any new options for females. Am I missing them, or did Niantic put this annoucement out too early?

Edit: I think now that this is actually a late announcement about clothes that came out with the release of gen 2.

It seems to me, that Niantic always announces new stuff later, after it has been added to the game. Why I don't really know.

Yes, I think that it is just super late announcement of the clothes that came out with gen 2. So late that it confused me.

Lol true but I would actually have been surprised, if it was more new clothing, as I've gotten used to their practices. Still wonder why, they can update and add to the game, but are allways late on news, and even a simple loading screen that's still from new years. Really weird imo :)

It is the stuff they added a while ago.
They are very bad at actually making in game announcements on time - but I suspect also it has not sold as well as they hoped so they are pushing it in hope of more people giving them money.
They must be in need of more finances to make actual in game improvements, because the game has struggled badly since it's release (see sarcasm)
