What am I doing wrong?

Pure luck.

I was level 30 when i got my first lapras (wild, less than 1200cp) (now im level 32) (almost 300 eggs hatched)

Got 1600+ lapras from egg with my other level 24 account with less than total 100 eggs hatched.
I laughed so hard when it hatched, because i dont even rlly play my level 24 account that much.

Well, the probability of getting a perfect IV pokemon of any sort is actually quite low: ignoring egg hatching, ignoring back when there was that bug that linked IVs to pokedex number, and assuming independent sorting of stats, the chance of capturing a perfect mon in the wild would be 1/16 x 1/16 x 1/16 = 1 pokemon for every 4,096 captures.

I'm level 30, and I only have 1 pokemon over 2500 CP (my Dragonite). I bet you have a fair number of 2300-2400 CP mons tho, right? Those are still quite useful too, I'd say. :D

In the meantime, power up that Weedle - I bet he'll be a beast at conquering all of the gyms! ;-)

Im level 31 and just hatched my first Snorlax. I have passed the phase of hatching and catching. Taking down valor and instinct gyms motivate me lol. Keep grinding. I have only one pokemon over 2500 and the rest are 2400 and below.

I keep by building up my team and taking down gyms.

BTW I have over 150 Caterpie, 120 weedle and 525 Pidgey candy. I feel your pain!!!

I bet you got a couple you didn't know about, they were just low cp and you didn't check them. I've got a few and they are all useless except a bulbasaur.

The appraisal system is pretty vague and misleading but at least it makes it easy to find perfect IVs.

Edit: I don't think I've ever caught a perfect. Just hatched them. Probably 450ish eggs and got 5 or 7 perfect IVs that I knew about.

I got perfect magicarp 150 cp and evolve it to gyarados.
Moves were Bite/ Twister. Waisted 400 candy.
I also have 100 iv jynx.

Luck, or cheaters. I know some people that have an iPhone app which shows the IV and moveset of a pokemon if someone else with the app caught it. They'll run down the good ones with high IV and good moves.

I'm on Android and have no such stuff. I'm only level 26 (approaching 27), but likewise I've never got a 100% IV pokemon (and only got a single 98%, and only a single 95%, my best otherwise were 93%). I also have not hatched anything spectacular. My 10km eggs have been: Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Scyther, Pinsir, Eevee, Jynx, Jynx.

I'm fortunate enough that Snorlax and Lapras appear to spawn somewhat regularly in my area, having 4 of each spawn within range of my tracker while I'm in game (and I know of people who have caught 5 Snorlax in a single night using maps). Haven't had luck getting the combination of level and moveset, let alone IV as well.

Hello, I feel very luckywhen I read this.
I caught 3 perfect ones today : Gastly, Cubone and Meowth.
I've added a screenshot of my 90+ mons.

I've got only Lapras. No snorlax, exeggutor or Gyarados (yet, because I'm walking my 97,8 Magikarp.

Hang in there man. It's a numbers game, though when you are the outlier it SUCKS!

For example, I have been fortunate to catch a lot of 100% IVs. I have 42 actually out of 13,217 captures, or 0.318%. This is slightly higher than the rate Lanair put forth, though if you take into account most of these came from eggs then it's about right.

Now consider this though. Out of those 13,217 I have ZERO Snorlax's and Lapras'. Yes, ZERO.

Go figure. Luck on one end, not so much on the other end (yet).

You didn't do anything wrong dude. Relax. It's part of the game. I'm at level 28 only have 2 100% IV Pokémon's (Starmie & Tangela) by far and still I'm happy as they have ranked A Move Set. Just continue to play.

Well the only Pokemon that can max out over 2500 at your level are Dragonite, Lapras, Snorlax, Arcanine, and Exeggutor. The first three are obviously pretty rare, so idk if you have any of them, but I'm sure you can find a Exeggcute nest or a Growlithe nest to get yourself a >2500 pokemon.
