Gyarados DB vs. B

So the Gyarados page states that dragon breath and bite are basically identical. If I understand correctly, dragon breath is rated A whereas bite is rated B (offense) pretty much only because the former is "great" against Dragonite. But who would attack a Dragonite with hydro pump? Wouldn't the advantage of bite against other defenders such as Espeon be (slightly) more valuable? Personally, I wouldn't make a distinction between the two at all.

Edit: If you say DB/HP is great against Dragonite, you may as well say B/HP is great against Exeggutor, Slowbro and Slowking

Tyranitar also resists Bite.

I attack Dragonite w/ a B/HP all the time. There are better choices, but Gyarados is just a cool Pokemon. DB would be amazing, but I have DB Dragonites for that. I'm more confused who would use a DT Gyarados to attack anything.

I've tried my Gyara with DT/OR vs a defender Nurse and I felt my Gyara is weak... I haven't tried it vs Nite because I rarely see a Nite defender in our area.. almost all defenders are Nurse...

lol yeah just use a FS/OH or E/OH Flareon over Gyarados vs her. DT/O would actually be pretty solid vs Dragonite.

I was thinking to post something like this, i think GP make a wrong choice giving a B on Bite/Hydropump.
You can't put Dragon Tail/Outrage an A only cruz good match ups with Dragonite and worst Dragon Tail/Crouch above Bite/Hydropump.
There is something wrong in that.
