The max level on the game now for pokemon is 39. There was a bug that allowed people to power up mon up from their max levels, for example if you was level 27 you could already have a 3000 CP dragonite, even it being past your level max CP. With this people powerd up mon to level 40. They removed the bug and now you can't do it anymore.

I am lvl 39 in game and since lvl38 can't power up my pokemon anymore, my question is why my 96% maxed dragonite has 3508 cp, but he was supposed to go as high as 3559 cp for the 96% iv's... All my pokemon are like that 30-50cp less than what they should be and i ask it cuz i've recently seen dragonites on gyms that were up to 3581 cp for the 100% ones.. before i thought it was normal since on lvl38 the power up button dissapears but now after seeing those i wonder if i've done something wrong or anything
