Mareep Question

A Jolteon with higher HP. A great specalist attacker (gyarados, vaporeons) imo.

A buffed Jolteon

It's the best eletric attacker and also a fairly decent defender.

At this moment the only mon I would make my buddy are Chansey, Snorlax, Larvitar/Dratini and Mareep.

On the order I said and depending on your situation, for example if you already have all gen1 dex completed and a good Blissey and Snorlax I would go then for the gen2 attackers Tyranitar and Ampharos.

Ampharos is my favorite mon of gen 2, he was ok on the original games, on pokemon X I used her mega evolution a lot, even knowing there was better options. In PoGo mareep is very hard to find, at least to me, and ampharos compete with jolteon to be the best Electric mon in the game. Her quick moves aren't as good as jolteon TS for att, but she is a more defensive then jolteon, so it kinda makes up for her lack of speed. With volt switch she is one of the best defenders on the game.

Ampharos is Jolteon but more well-rounded, less glass cannon. Peronally I think this is the best electric type in the game but I also haven't seen one so....

Yeah, Ampharos is the best Electric type in the game, but pretty rare and less accessible than Jolteon. Overall, it's an ok attacker and pretty good defender. It's not nearly as powerful as other species, but definitely the best electric-pick you can make it you can get it

I'd priortize obtaining a B/ SE or C Tyranitar before I even think about Amarphos.

most people wouldnt do it, but i instapicked my first mareep as my buddy and walked over 100km with it now. just because it was my fav gen 2 pokemon, of the ones i knew. and its the first 3 stage electric evolution.
