Anyone seen this tactic in their neighborhood?

Evil trainer takes down a rival gym and then switches accounts and places a cp 10 mon into the gym.
Next he trains it once with a much hight mon so the prestige only goes up by 100.
Lastly he switches back to his primary account and beats the gym down to 100 prestige.

Leaves a Level 1 gym with 100 Prestige and a CP 10 mon as it's only defender.

In a area predominantly one team this is a nuissance.

anyone else seen this?

Wow, what a dick move :p

The only thing I've noticed that is similar is a guy that tore down all lvl 10 gyms in my area, but left the top pokemon sitting there with less then 1000 prestige remaining in each gym.

I do this on purpose to bock out a certain team in my area. Whenever I see a Blissey at the top of their gyms I would beat it down to level 1 with under 1000 prestige and walk away.

Almost impossible to train up and not worth the time lol.

Only thing I don't like about this, is that you really are only making it harder on legitimate players.

The Snipers with 2 accounts, will just take out the Blissey and start the gym over.

Although honestly, Prestiging against a Blissey isn't that hard. You just have to do it twice. Many of the High Attack Pokemon that people use to beat Blissey in opposing Gyms are lower in CP than Blissey. 2400ish Exeggutors, 2 flareons, etc.

In fact, if you were in my town and did this.... I'd thank you for leaving the Blissey there. Power it up, and stick a Gyrados hiding behind it. Since low level players won't beat Blissey. But I can.

If it becomes a regular thing, you can start a new account, raise it just to level 5 so you can fight in gyms, join another color, and use it just for knocking him out.

If one is a Trainer Club Account sure.

Hit Logout on Settings
Then hit PTC club, you will have to type in info
Switching back is easier
since your phone will remember your google account

I see one guy who does that with a twist.
At the end, instead of leaving the buble lv 1 pok, he leaves a 3000 blissies in multi gyms around the area.
Impossible to prestige, hard to kill.

Pbpbp... yeah. With something 10 CP the incentive is to start a new account just to counter it. With a 3000 Blissey, the better play is to build it up, but you need strong enough pokemon to do that. Luckily you "only" need to get it up to 2000 to be able to add two pokemon, but the bigger question is do you want to spend time building up a gym with that person in it?

Well you don't need a new account to counter it.

You just need to keep 6 10 cp attackers and beat it 4 times.

Annoying sure, but plenty of times I beat a Gym pokemon 4+ times to power up a gym.

Good rule then if this is happening in your area keep 6 10 cp pokemon.

I don't think so. he first adds
3 pokes and then lower it to 1000. You need to fight it every step of the way..

This doesnt make sense. You are misunderstanding the original posters post.

If the Gym Blocker added 3 pokemon then lowered the Prestige to 1000 (or less), two of those 3 pokemon would be kicked out.

Any Gym under 2k prestige can have only 1 pokemon it it. the scenerio being that pokemon is a 10 cp pokemon.

So keep 6 10 cp pokemon, prestige it 4 times at 500 a pop. And you are back to a normal gym.

Really not much more work, then if his team (main account) had taken over the gym and 2 other people came by and made it level 3. You'd still have to beat 5 pokemon to get rid of that 6k.

Heck, the funny part is if his 10 cp account was same color and he put it in. the 4k Gym would be almost as hard to beat as what he is causing to happen.

Pretty funny actually. It's like a commentary on the gym system mechanics.

You know the easiest way to beat this is to make a new account at lv 5 to kill the 10 cp mon

I've had this happen to me acouple times it is a bit annoying but if you just wait and let them do all that work just so they can place a Pokémon in a gym before they leave, in the long run there losing more potions and revives. Tbh, I'm more annoyed by my own team taking my spot in a gym after I prestige it just so they can put a chansey at the bottom of a gym.. but that's a different discussion for another time...

More annoying is that genius that takes down a gym and puts in a blissey alone.

Dont put in a blissey below lvl 8 gym plz!!!
