Power up blissey or evolve chansey?

I have a 78% IV* blissey with ZH/DG on 2152CP. 50 candies and a chansey on 93% IV. Power up or evolve?

EDIT:
chansey lvl 24: 14,14,14
blissey lvl 24,5 : 15 stamina, 10x2.

Does the 93% have 15 Attack IV? What about the 78% Blissey?

The attack IV is incredibly important for Blissey, as it is her lowest statistic, and has the greatest effect on maximum CP. I have two Blisseys, the first is 96% (14-14-15 a/d/s) and the second one is 87% (15-11-13 a/d/s). They both have almost identical maximum CP despite the 96% having an additional 4 points distributed among its IVs.

For this reason, I would value the Attack IV much more highly than any other stat with Blissey.

why is maximum CP that important? I Always thought that Blisseys rep was due to the high HP and thus not having enough time to beat it? ''there is not such a thing as a bad blissey''

Shouldn't def and stamina be the main important IVs for blissey?

stamina is the least important IV for Blissey because the base stat value is already so high. Any incremental gain to Stamina are very low proportional % of the total, whereas any gains to Attack through the IV are much greater since the base ATK is low to begin with. So you get a larger proportional gain from each point to the attack IV. For these reasons, Attack IV is greatly important to Blissey, whereas the Stamina IV isn't very important at all.

Not only does Attack IV help Blissey actually output some quality damage, but it greatly increases the maximum CP -- which is very important for gym placement in the world of Rhydon, Gyarados, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Vape, etc. For what it's worth, maximum CP is basically the most important consideration for gym defense.

Sure i can buy into the principle of wanting to be higher up in the gym but after 80% IV or so the maximum CP is marginal.

However a higher stamina+def IV would mean it would take longer to fight a blissey; thus a larger chance of blissey winning due to time running out. That is what blissey is all about? trying to drag out the battle until time runs out?

Thats why i Think Blisseys is a special case of defending.

I tend to agree with this. I think Def is the most important stat on Blissey. Tankiness (Def x Stam) is more important than CP (most dependent on Att) for this mon - you want Blissey to have maximum tankiness.

What level is the Chansey at? Use the calculators available here at gamepress to see how much you could power up your Blissey with the candies you have, and compare that to the Blissey you'd get evolving your Chansey.

Unless your Chansey is already level 30, I'd choose to power up the Blissey since it has the best moveset and its CP is fairly high already.

Your Chansey will have a much higher max CP when evolved to Blissey, but your current Blissey is already evolved with the best possible moveset.

Because of the moveset, I would continue to power up the Blissey and keep the Chansey for your next evolution.

Well, you will need more candy anyway.
Power up the blissey first, so you have at least one good pokémon while you walk or hatch the other candies.
If you evolve the Chansey, you will end up with 2 kinda useless pokémons until you get more candy.

This depends on your area.

How many CP do you need to stay in your team's L10 gyms locally without being churned out or being at the bottom rung? For me, that's about 2200-2400CP (2200 is pushing it, 2400 is pretty safe, 2600 is very safe where I live).

Power up your 78% Blissey to that point, but not further. No point in doing any more - you can defend a gym well, and be reasonably sure you won't be churned out of it before another team conquers it.

After that, focus on your Chansey. Walk with it for candy until you can evolve it.

If the answer is below 2150CP, evolve chansey - your Blissey doesn't need to be powered up!
