Close Combat has way more dps than Dynamic Punch.
My "no stab" list means that at least one of the moves doesn't stab. Ursa and Snorlax stab with HB, but they don't with their fast moves, so they entered the list. I could also add the fairy types there, but since there's no fast fairy moves, there's no reason.
DPS is only a measure of how much damage the move causes during its cooldown ... so it's not the full measure of how good a charge move actually performs. Dynamic Punch deals 180 damage for 100 energy, whereas Close Combat only deals 100 for the same energy.
All simulations show that Counter + Dynamic Punch outperforms Close Combat.
This list really needs to be updated because quite often the charge moves with the highest DPS come out performing substandard to other charge moves with higher DPE (Damage Per Energy). You need to factor in cycle DPS of the quick + charge move, not just look at which charge moves provide the highest DPS during their damage window. That's highly flawed.
Because I have a venusaur w vine whip and RL. RL is just too slow and harder to dodge with. Solarbeam has lower theoretical DPS but it does more damage. I'd rather take lower DPS for more damage because if you substitute the quick move DPS for the time difference of Petal blizzard and solar beam then SB comes out I believe. Using both, SB seems to pack more of a punch.
Thanks but sorry to say that this merely a very superficial simple "best DPS moveset" for those mons.. everyone already know them....
it doesn't take into account the EPS, damage each cycle of dodging and hitting etc...
after the latest update.. there are many mons with more than a good moveset.. many moves that are equally strong and have their pro and cons, depending on play style..
E.g.:
espeon ZH vs Conf, which I think ZH is equally good
Venu Solar vs PB are equal, Vine Whip vs RL also equal good
Alakazam Psycho cut vs Conf
Machamp CC vs DP
Ampharos VS vs CB, thunder vs Zap
And many more...
And for ice: Cloyster has much higher damage than Lapras
Water: Omastar is stronger than Vaporean, and Feraligatr has same damage as Vap
Grass: Vileplume and Victreebell has higher dmg than Venu (with their RL and SB)
My 2 cents
I don't understand why u can't check simple stats in this page..
Cloyster ATT is 186 while Lapras after nerf is 165 Jynx 223
Omastar ATT 207 (2 higher than Vaporean). And Starmie is highest water attacker with ATT 210..
your post is "highest Attacker each type".. obviously ur knowledge on PoGo is still shallow.. In current Metagame, DPS is not everything.. I think U need more gym battle and more Mons to understand it better..
This list is for best overall pokémons, not only DPS.
I value all stats.
Having 2 more ATK and 120 less STA isn't a good trade off. Vaporeon will have more damage output overall because he can endure more damage and generate more energy losing HP.
The flaw of this list is the movesets, because I considered only DPS and not DPE. I'm researching this now and will update the list soon.
Thanks for the input.
