GamePress

Tier List Waiting ... Tik Tok

There was a countdown timing when the tier list coming up and now its gone. I wonder what is that mean. No more tier list or It will take longer time to release it ?
P/S: I found some tier list and it collides to each other (wrong moveset, different calculation, the most of them are rumors and rant) make my mind is chaos now. Last hope is they would release tier list in next week.

There was no countdown. Maybe you mean nest migration or end of Pokemon day event?

Not trying to be rude, but why not try for yourself? There are advantages to DIY, perhaps most importantly is that the A-rated moves here may not be the best for you... (for example, if you are a dodging expert, or if your gym meta/biome is different than what Gamepress expects).

It's not hard or rocket science - just a little thought and perhaps some trial and error with the movesets you have. All potential movesets are on this site with damage and cooldown, and very easy to see the SE or types resistant to each attack ... This web site makes it super easy to research, usually simple clicking through to get the details on PKM attackers, defenders, base stats for damage considerations, etc . Take some notes about the likely counters and what MS they can have, then try a battle simulator (one posted here just a few days ago is amazing) - or at least a thought experiment. Your mind doesn't have to be in chaos because of other people's lists!

In some sense, a Gym Defender List starts with just looking at the CP List.

1 Tyrantir 2 Dragonite 3 Rhydon 4 Gyrados 5 Blissey 6 Vaperon 7 Donaphan 8 Espeon 9 Heracros 10 Golem/Eggy (and you do have to keep going)

CP is based on stats, and stats matter for defense. So CP is a basic order.

You then move things up with good moves or who use the Gym Double Hp/Slower Quick moves to thier advantage. You move things down with double weakeness.

So Blissey goes from #5 to #1 because of Time Out and 800+ hps. Meanwhile pokemon like Dragonite, Rhydon, and Gyrados all drop a couple levels because they have a double se counter.

It does get a little more complicated in Move Sets. Because you the Worst Move set blissey is still probably #1, but the Worst Moveset Snorlax might not be #2

Longstory short, cut and paste the CP list into an excel spreadsheet. And move pokemon up or down in comparison.

And then throw in Extra Lines anytime you think it's no brainer that #8 is way way better than #9...

You've created a Tier List

"2 Dragonite 3 Rhydon 4 Gyrados" - they all have double weakness and are bad defenders. I guess the list will start with:
1. Blissey (any move)
2. Snorlax (ZH/BS)
3. Tyranitar(?)
...

Tyranitar is the most vulnerable of all the mons listed there.

There's a tier list up here: http://letspokego.blogspot.com/2017/02/lets-go-gym-defenders-tier-list-gen-2.html

Which has generally agreed with Gamepress' tier lists in the past. But waiting to see what Gamepress says as well.
