Should I Power Up My Alakazam?

What up. I have this Confusion/Psychic Alakazam with 98% IVs, should I power it up to at least level 30? Is it worth it? It's sitting at level 20 in the meantime. Btw this is a pre-gen 2 Alakazam. I would appreciate any help. Thanks fam.

Imo, it is not really worth powering up. Alakazams unique selling point is Psycho Cut, a fast move that allows you dodging. Unfortunately, yours does not have this move.
The charged attack has been nerfed, Psychic is not longer the best. Futuresight is simply better.

If you want a strong psychic attacker, go for espeon. It is way easyer to get, has only slightly weeker attack but clearly better defense.

At the moment, i do not see the niche for alakazam, and your moveset is not really good.

Do you know about the name trick? You just need a good eevee and 25 candy. You do not have to walk your eevee for the first espeon.

I think you have the second best Alakazam post Gen 2 update. The best one will be Confusion/FutureSight, but you will risk your 125 Abra candies with only about 1/6 the chance to have the right one. If I were you, I 'd stick to this one.
