I'm getting 233, excluding Heracross and Corsola. Can anyone confirm or correct that number?
Wouldn't it be easier to have a count for 'non-regional' pokedex - and then people can add the one, two or three regionals they can attain in their specific area.
I think any pokedex count should be stated without regionals - then it is an actual global count, rather than some perochial count that isn't even consistent within some countries borders.

Good point. So, let's say 232, excluding regionals. I'm counting 251 minus 9 of Gen1 (Mew, Mewtwo, 3 legendaries, 4 regionals) and minus 10 of Gen2 (8 unreleased and 2 regionals (Heracross and Corsola). Add the regionals available to you (i.e. Tauros in most of the U.S. for 233) Am I missing something?
