So I've powered up everything that I wanted to power up, except...
A good grass type attacker.
I have a level 20 100% IV Venusaur with VW/SoB that I've been wanting to power up since forever now after hatching a perfect bulbasaur and evolving that badboy.
However, with some recent data being brought out on reddit it's being said that leaf blade is now the #1 efficient charge move to use, meaning a Victreebell could now potentially be the #1 grass type attacker.
Razor leaf is still very good after the update so if it's paired with leaf blade I'm thinking it might outperform VW/SoB...
What do you guys think?
Also if you haven't checked the reddit thread with the most efficient charge move data, go check it out!

Bullet seed is a pretty awful quick move, but Exeggutors SoB does quite a bit more damage than Venusaurs SoB. However, I still don't think that compensates for how much better vine whip actually is compared to bullet seed.
Btw, I'm looking at their performances against water type pokemon in particular. That's why I didn't include Exeggutor. Even though it's super strong.. VW/SoB Venusaur is better against a water type than -/SoB Exeggutor because it's super effective with both the quick and charge move, as opposed to Exeggutors Extrasensory/Confusion which aren't. And like I said bullet seed is just straight up awful.
Yeah....sort of....
Well, it kind of depends.
EPS certainly matters but I wouldn't say it necessarily matters more than DPS.
For example, if that were true all the time, then Fury Cutter would be a better quick move on Parasect than Bug Bite, and spreadhseet calculations as well as real world experience tell us this simply isn't true.
(This is true for Struggle Bug too according to sheets but I haven't personally used one yet)
For reference, Fury has +3 EPS and Bug Bite has +3 DPS
You must be misinformed. Power Whip (identical to Grass Knot) is arguably better than Solar Beam, and Leaf Blade has amazing DPE (Damage per Energy). Petal Blizzard has good DPS on paper but terrible DPE which makes it the turd amongst grass charge moves.
Why you haven't already powered up a 100% Venusaur with VW/SoB is beyond all common sense... It was an amazing moveset before the update, was terrible for four days, and it's now better than ever. A no-brainer if you ask me, considering Venusaur is also pretty sexy.
Actually it's not weird at all that I haven't powered it up yet. ESPECIALLY with Niantic being all over the place with gym/moveset changes. All I want is to wait for sites like Gamepress/TheSilphRoad to come out with the actual best movesets and THEN power up accordingly. I could max out my venusaur right now, but what if the RL/LB Victreebell turns out to be much much better?
I'm not saying the Venusaur would be bad. I'm saying stardust is very scarce and I want to use it for the absolute best kind for their respective types.
That's not that crazy, right? :p
I'm not really sure how much value to place on a thread that only considers move strength. You can easily find spreadsheets (or make one) that have each mon with its movesets listed. It gives ranks/scores based on stats of the user and strength for the attack. You can compare the results of one to the other, if you want.
Personally...I wouldn't spend any dust/candy on anything (except perhaps Blissey) unless you really need to right now.
Not until we have a bit more confidence Niantic aren't going to change stuff around again (not sure how this confidence will come....time?)
...or, an updated att/def tier list is released by gamepress as theirs was pretty accurate previously in real life terms.
