New Driving Limits
Has this ruined the game for anyone else?
I get not playing while you are the driver.
But my kids are losing interest in pokemon go fast when they can't catch stuff while going to store. (and they aren't wanting to go as much)
Plus when I go out with my buddy, its a fun evening bouncing around from gym to gym and one drives one works both phones. This is now ruined.
I've already decided unless they reverse this, I'm not spending more money on the app. But I wonder am I the only one in this boat?

Let's say you have Netflix, and you cut back on watching netflix every day to watching it once a week. Do you consider cancelling? Does it become something not worth your money?
My best memory of Pokemon go was driving to store. The kids getting all excited that they saw a Snorlax on Track, and I drove into 3-4 parking lots until it popped. My kids were crazy happy about it.
Now, that memory would be impossible.
They have already noticed nothing spawns on trip so why bother.
If they play less, it no longer becomes worth money.
You are absolutely true, thats why i stopped playing world of warcaft, it wasnt worth of my money anymore.
But there is big difference between world of warcraft, netflix and pokemon go.
Pokemon go is free to play, other two arent.
Anyways, i hope you didnt spent too much money on the game.
I have spent 21 euros but i would gladly take part of my money back.
In beginning i bought some lures and one incubator but soon i realized that its all about luck, i never got anything good, so i stopped buying them.
Only thing worth to buy is inventory space and even for them you can collect coins if you have patience.
- Yes, the popup box telling you not to play and drive is very annoying (especially since it pops up every 10 minutes or so)!
- No, the popup box doesn't work (I still play and drive, though it's a bad habit I've tried to cut back on).
- I doubt Niantic will significantly change the popup - remember all of the public outrage regarding playing while driving back before the popup existed?
- Why not just ignore the popup? All it takes is one click to make it go away. It's annoying, yes, but not a tremendous hassle or anything.

I read all of your comments and all of the other ones here, and I admit that I do understand you and I truly love the various scenarios you mentioned - they're all so true and common.
Nonetheless, we need to remember that the game's name is Pokemon GO and not Pokemon RIDE, and that their purpose is to make us go out, walk distances, play, and enjoy.
While there's so much pleasure in most of the scenarios you mentioned, and it is annoying that they're limiting us, I do understand them.
Hopefully you'll find you way to keep enjoying this game.
Everyone enjoys the game differently. Some go with buddies at good spots, some drive around, some bike, some walk with kids, I personally push a stroller which limits things quite a bit. Has to be perfect weather, right mood, daylight, etc.
Some people can enjoy much more than others. Adding limitations can be frustrating.I have spent lots of money on incense just to have something to catch. I could've got cable with the money I've paid. Hindsight.
