My named eevelutions for my high IV Espeon and Umbreon got:
Espeon: ZenH/ Future sight
Umbreon: Feint attack/ Foul play
By my understanding, the Espeon ZH/FS is the 2nd best moveset but by a narrow margin.
Not too sure what to make of the Umbreon. Foul play seems to be the ideal charge move.
I've got a few more high IV eevees and am drowning in eevee candies. But I'd much rather walk my lavitar than an eevee.
Been waiting for the gamepress assessment on these movesets to determine if I should evolve more or be contented and stick to it. But what do you guys think? Be contented or try harder??
About Espeon, in terms of pure dps it is probably the second best moveset, but ZH is a faster move so you will be able to dodge a lot more efficiently and make more damage in the end, so for me ZH/FS is the BEST Espeon moveset and the one I am looking for.
About Umbreon sadly there is no much use for him a part than prestiging, you got a nice moveset so keep him on prestige range. Very sad that Umbreon is not stronger in terms of CP because I really love him.
I got ZH/FS as well, and tested him yesterday. You definitely do not want to take many hits with Espeon, and as mentioned above, ZH will allow you to dodge, and Confusion you will get hit. For me, it's a go with ZH then. Test was 1958 96 IV Espeon versus 2575 Rhydon who happened to have Rock Smash (missed a dodge or two and it was not very effective). Espeon for the win, and I haven't even powered him up yet.
I genuinely don't understand why so many people say that about ZH vs Confusion.
From my experience, ZH is an awkward move in terms of speed because you can't really fit two in between the opponent's attacks (only sometimes I barely manage to do so and dodge succesfully), while with Confusion you can comfortably just go for one and then dodge, dealing great damage anyway. So I find Confusion to be the better one for dodging strategies.
I'm open to any explanation on why I'm wrong, though.
You may wait ATM, and go on with Larvitar.
People are very hurried about the 2 gen best ones, and Move sets, so... be patient.
A few days ago i evolved my 100% Kingdra, DB/OR, i asked if it worth power it up.
Many thoughts, since i should max it, to use as prestigier, even transfer (I mean, really?)
So i decide to wait until all the information we need comes out.
I think the transfer ideea was a sarcastic one, that move set being quite obvios the best one for Kingdra if you care to read available info and do some analisys by yourself based on your needs.
So don't wait for gamepress, decide on your own, this is also for OP and his Espeon.
And if you are far from gamepress suggestions and you are not pleased with the perfotmane of your poke in real fights, just evolve another, this game offers you this possibility multiple times :)
I get your point, and i do my own reseaarch based on my current local meta.
For me, GamePress is a guide (wich i need) to now about the global meta, with a lot of users from the whole world comenting and sharing their experiences.
The Silphroad (in Reddit too) is my other source, then, i take my own conclusions.
