Question for GPS spoofers.

So I recently hatched an 86% Dratini that I'm eager to evolve and throw into a gym as a powerful dragonite. The problem is, I need a lot of candy to both evolve and power this guy up. Dratini are incredibly rare here, I've only seen 1 in the wild and have gotten another 2 from eggs. So, unless I walk a ludicrous amount of Km I'll probably never have enough candy. My question is this, is it possible to use gps spoofing as a means of circumventing this while also not being banned? Or will it be obvious? Also, what's reliable and trusted to use without any risk of getting into trouble? I looked online but I'm still on the fence. If I were to use it I'd solely use it for my buddy candy and egg hatching.

The best thing to use is "Fly GPS" (for android not sure if its available for apple). I wouldn't spoof more than 10 or 15 miles away from your location or you risk a soft ban, which could lead to perma ban. It probably won't help you find more Dragonite's but its got a joystick which allows you to rack up KM's for your buddy. It takes some grinding but it'll do the trick. Again I wouldn't do more the 15km a day or so just to be safe. I got 2 accounts. One used maps and got warned, both used Fly GPS, and the second didn't get warned. Nothing is full proof though

PS Fly is not available thru play store you just need to search google for it (id post a link but not sure if its ok) No root needed just follow directions carefully

Play the game and exercise. Spoofers not only ruin the game for people who play legitimately, but really take away any satisfaction from actually having the Dragonite. You also run the risk of being banned as Niantic has said they will, and has already started getting rid of botters/cheaters.

So yeah, don't. Earn it.

This. You will appreciate what you earned much more, and do you want to play in fear of being banned after being legit this whole time?

Before you get all holier than thou you should come to my small town. Not only did all the kids pick the same team (not mine) but at least 50% spoof. I could either give up on the game or at least gyms or spoof too. I played for a while legit but it's just not realistic now.

Also my 2600 Snorlax is very satisfying

If you're gonna cheat what's the point, just quit the game.

I think there is many reasons why there is cheaters.

  1. Some players are jelous for good legit players and they also wanna be good but cant, so must use cheats.
  2. Bad game design: Example -> rural areas which dont have many pokestops or gyms, which drives ppl to use spoofing.
  3. Kids, this is because kids brains work differently than most of the adults, kids cheat and do stupid stuff in life generally but there is always exceptions, in both cases, in adults and in kids.

Anyways, then all above reasons drive other players to cheat, less or more.
Especially if Niantec have failed to ban cheaters and sure do they have failed, cus i have seen it myself.

Dratinis are rare practically everywhere. Just walk your lazy ass. I walked over 300km to get my Dragonite. Just bc someone's high level doesn't mean they are spoofing. By now, most players who still play the game regularly have reached level 30 or 31 playing legitimately. I'm level 29, and I play mostly only on weekends.

I personally screenshot and report almost all GPS spoofers/cheaters I come across. And from my experience, Niantic does a great job following up on the reports.

You are ruining the game by cheating.

Have you ever leveled up a L7 Gym all the way to L10 only to have your spot taken instantly, every time, by people who aren't even there? I have. Do not join them. Report them. Honestly, I've reported so many and I've never seen any user I've reported come back to the gyms at which I reported them, I don't think it's coincidence. Just be sure you're only reporting people you can confirm are cheating. Don't go to a building which could have players on other floors, go to the gyms out in the open where you know you can see the other players. You would be doing all the legitimate gamers a service.

I agree with LBrouwer. Reported cheaters have never returned to gyms in my area after the report.

People can argue all day that there is a lack of features or they are rural so they have to cheat. They will try to convince themselves that there is legitimacy in cheating.

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." -Ernest Hemingway.

Interestingly, I often wonder how much more content would be in the game if Niantic did not have to spend so much of its' resources devoted to stopping cheaters.

I have experienced similar situation as yours. Where I was training a gym in the wide open and all of a sudden someone has put their Pokemon in it.

Even tho it is someone from my team I strongly disagree with cheating and would like to report them. Where do you report them if I may ask?

This. Sometimes it's hard to tell, other times it's easy (who advertises their cheater website on all the college campus gyms with their username?). Haven't seen them back though. Wasn't my team, but a cheater has no team color. They are not my teammate.
