As of now...

Who are your Top 5 Attacker which is available in your Dex? It means you always used when you attack a GYM.
In the present day...

Here's mine:
1. Gyarados
2. Exeggutor
3. Dragonite
4. Vaporeon
5. Arcanine

This doesn't mean that they are the best but in my case they are the available attacker that I usually used to defeat a GYM...

Edit: Since Blissey dominating as a GYM defender in our area, and that is why it makes my Gyarados as no. 1 Attacker

Jolteon is almost always asked for.

I have 3 (2 TS/TB and 1 TS/T), all 3 between 1500 and 2000cp and mainly use them against Vaporeons and Gyarados. Do you see any other use for them? I'm just curious because he's pretty weak and needs to dodge a lot. Thanks!

Gyarados. I always use them against Gyarados with double type advantage. And - yes - precise dodging is asked for.

Gyms are very predictable around here, and very easy to counter....for everything else there is Alakazam.

Tyranitar everytime. I was lucky enough tout get one in Paris (eiffel tower).
Bite and se. So damn fast and damaging. It just make the job anytime. Évent my dragonite can t match this beast imo.

I use Dragonites for 80% of the attacking I do, if they're not sitting in a gym. The remaining 20% are usually Vensuaur, Exeggutor, Jolteon and Lapras. I prefer to prestige friendly gyms anyway, instead of tearing down other peoples work. My top 5 prestigers:
Jolteon TS/TB or Dis
Tangela VW/Solar
Cloyster FB/Blizz
Golduck WG/HP
Jynx Pound/PS (vs Snorlax)

My most-of-the-time squad (I'm at level 30),

Dragonite (Dragon Breath - Dragon Claw)
Vaporeon (Water Gun - Aqua Tail)
Snorlax (Zen Headbutt - Hyper Beam)
Tyranitar (Bite - Stone Edge) I felt emotional when I saw this moveset :')
Gyarados (Bite - Hydro Pump)

I also use Jolteon (Volt Switch - Discharge) and Exeggutor (Confusion - Zen Headbutt) sometimes while Gyarados is around. Besides I have a decent Alakazam (Psycho Cut - Shadow Ball), but hey fella to be perfectly honest, Alakazam's defense and stamina stat sucks, I can only beat one gym defender with him (IV 91% and 2205 CP). Whereas using my aforementioned squad, I can defeat a level 10 gym with 1 or 2 of them remain alive.

Nevertheless, suggestions and/or questions are very welcome :)

Is Gyarados that good against Blissey?

My list of attacker for Blissey by order of preference:
- Machamp
- Heracross
- Dragonite
- Tyranitar
- Ursaring
- Charizard
- Flareon
- Exeggcutor
- Gyarados (equal to Vaporeon)

Since you have an Exeggcutor and a Dragonite (and probably Flareon and Ursaring), I do not think that Gyarados is your best option.
