Charizard. Why can it still learn fireblast?

Just evolved my second charizard. The first one knew ember and fireblast and the second knows firespin and fireblast. What is the point of a mon being able to know fireblast or overheat. Over heat is faster and does more damage and they are both 100 energy. There is literally no advantage to fireblast compared to overheat. Same with psychic and future sight. They should have just ditched fireblast and let flamethrower for some variance at least. I'm not devastated or anything, but I'm kinda like: well this is alright, but it's no overheat. Regardless it took the last 8 months to even evolve the two Zards I have.

I suppose thats just not how they think....there are some moves in a pokemons pool that just are not as effective as others.

Plus all this moveset rating/value is worked out by us based on many different things such as speed/duration, energy gain etx. And currently set by the way niantic balance the move.

We all know a little change can completey rejumble a pokemons 'best' moves, so who knows how good it will be in the future

In any case don't tranfer it. Niantic doesn't know shit about Pokemon moves and after another fuck-up rebalance he may be the best fire type!

Indeed. I guess in the end I can ask myself: am I really guna get in two 100 energy charge moves in a single battle anyways so then it comes down to: how many extra times am I guna have to use firespin after using fireblast to make up for the difference in dps between overheat and fireblast.

I just feel really bad because my girlfriend fully powered up her ember fireblast charizard which was already kind of settling compared to wing attack and now fireblast is overheat light. Charizard is her favorite Pokémon for the record which is why she settled with it. So now that "c rank" moveset is prolly more like a d or f in the grand scheme of things. She doesn't play as much as me and I'm our area...she ain't getting another charizard anytime soon and even if she did the odds of getting the right moves aren't good and then she'd have to have the candy to power it up soooo....she's pretty laid back though so I'm sure she will still love her zard no matter what, but for number crunchers like myself it drives me a little batty.

So much ebb and flow in the meta. Yesterdays monsters (Lapras) are today's regrets. And some of yesterday's mediocre mons have found new life (Machamp). You never know - that Crapizard might find another life as a hero in a future "adjustment" of stats.

haha yea FB really drew the short straw on this one. I think they are trying to "promote" the new move thus making it stronger/better. That's why DT is better than DB now, imo.
