Trading with the professor for my own mons back.

One form of trading that I'd really really appreciate would be trading for my own mons that I transferred to the professor. With so many moveset updates, I'd love a second chance at some of my own mons.
Do you think Niantic has that data stored for all of our transferred mons?

Pff, while that sounds great.. keeping data on ALL the goddamn pokemons you transfered for each individual player.. doesnt sound plausible

You have to realize that the billions (or trillions, or more) of pidgeys that have been transferred would probably crash their servers if they kept that much data.

Unfortunately it's simply not possible.

The only way I can see this working is if the game remembered the last couple you transferred and gave them back at the cost of one candy which I don't think is a likely mechanic to be introduced

Alternatively, would having TMs in the game help you?

I've already done the grinding for those mons. I just want the opportunity to get my own mons back.
The updated movesets makes some of those transferred mons down right amazing.
