Furret - new generalist prestiger?

I see Furret

https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/pokemon/162

as a really great prestiger. It combines the good aspects of raticate (availability) and wigglituff (good defensive power - underestimation by cp-formula - good prestiger)

It has one of the greatest movesets in game :
Quick attack / hyperbeam.

What i do at the moment: Catch all Sentrets i see, some even with pinap-berry. Evolve the big ones with lucky egg just same as rattatas, keep QA/HB as permanent prestigers, mark all other movesets as one-time-prestigers, transfer them after they faint.

I just wanted to share my thoughts and am curious how others do.

Didn't try it yet but do you think is better than raticate with quick hyper fang, which I think is better than bite/hb combo now on raticate?

Prestiging will take a bit longer with furret, because it has less attack power. But as defense is way better, it deals more damage until it faints.
When in danger of time out, raticate is better, of course.

QA/HB is still the best combination on raticate (same on furret) regarding cycle damage. QA/HF is slightly worse, but quite useable.

In actual battle, HF can be better, if the third HF would kill an opponent, and in the same time, the second HB would not have been ready - normal issue comparing flexibility of 2-bar vs. 1-bar- moves.
Second good thing for 2-bar moves: they don't waste energy when waiting for opponents charge attack.

I tend to agree, HF may be at least as good as HB on raticate.

Thanks, I only can agree with all the above.

I'm also curios about Noctowls. I only did a mass evolve last night and did not have time to test the results on my nearby gym (where I go to prestige when I get out smoking :) ).

Noctowl - Statwise comparable to Hypno, my second faforite prestiger.
Unfortunately has only one in 6 Movesets double STAB; Extrasonary / Sky Attack is only 5% worse. I will give him at least a try too. Thanks for drawing my attention to this direction. :-)

So at first glace if is has Sky Attack is worth the attention (by No attention I mean: back in the day I just selected 6 recently evolved Pidgetto in the range of 600-800 CP to kill by "blindly" taping the screen, while smoking, my 2400 Exeggutor :) or whatever was beneath. No I'm doing something similar with Murkrow which I catch for Dark medal.

The first sentret I evolved got quick attack and hyper beam and thank god it has good ivs too.

I tried a couple and was fairly impressed. Most common gen2 Poke for me (with Natu a close second).

I have been using Furret a couple of times to prestige now and he's doing way better than I expected him to do.

Caught one yesterday (with terrible IVs) with this moveset but pretty high level (maybe 27 or 28 I didn't check). I don't think I'll invest anything in him but may keep him as a prestiger if you think he's doing well (he has 10xx cp and 120 hp).
