Alakazam vs Espeon

Hey folks,

A lot of people is saying that Espeon is the best psychic pokemon we can get by now.

Trust me, this is wrong.
Don't be fooled by CP again like with Rhydon...

Let me explain you.

What do we know about Alakazam and Espeon?
They have a lot of attack base stat, and a low HP base stat.
=> this means that even if they hit like a truck, if you want to use the maximum of their potential, you must be dodging as much as possible.
=> this also means that you are not using it as a defender...

So which one is the most effective in the end?
The one with the CP? Or the other one?

For the charge move, everybody understand now that Futursight is the attack you want to have.
No argue about that.

The question is which first attack?

Confusion cooldown: 2,10
EPS: 4,76

ZH cooldown: 1,55
EPS: 6,45

PC cooldown: 1,07
EPS: 7,48

So basically, before dodging that means you can attack twice with PC without being hit.
Recharging 15 energy.
Whereas with the 2 other attacks, if you want to dodge, you can just use them one time and then wait untill the yellow flash.

In the end with PC you will be able to launch your Futursight more often than any Espeon.
And you will be able to dodge easily the ennemy attacks without any time to wait untill the yellow flash.
I even wonder if PC+Psychic is not better than any Espeon.

To put it in a nutchell, the best Psychic Monster is not the one with CP, but the one with PC!

XD

See you guys, and enjoy the game! ;)

Although I agree in everything you said and I haven't made any calculations myself there is something you are not taking into consideration, Espeon has 10 less attack than Alakazam but he has 20 more Stamina, which can make last longer in combat and doing more damage in the end.

Alakazam is a better attacker yes, but maybe (and I say maybe) Espeon can do more damage before fainting which would make him preferable, at least for me.

I already have powered an Alakazam PC/Ps before and I am waiting for this site ratings before making any new investment at this point.

Well, not for me and I am sure a lot of players don't use regular potions at all, at certain level they are just a bag filler, I only use super, hyper or max potions, if you use super potions for example having 20 more or less life won't make any difference on potion usage at all.

Not really.

If you are dodging every single attack with both alakazam and Espeon, then as you will kill pokemons faster with alakazam, you will receive less hits.
Making him survive longer.
Or making him hit more pokemons in a raw in a lvl 10 gym if you are not switching pokemons untill they die^^

Yes, this is true ;), I guess it will be a pretty small diference anyway, and also I like to consider that it is posible that I miss dodge at any certain point, there is server lag and phone lag, and also the gym bug that you get hit and the server realize that you dodge and you come back again.

I get what you're saying, but unless Niantic also changed the gym coding, defenders use quick attack once every 1.5sec (only a few quick attacks are longer than 1550ms). So with PC, there's still not enough time to hit twice since that would take slightly over 2sec.

For the 2 first attack, maybe.
Big then the rythm is still the same.
2 PC, 1 dodge, 2PC, 1 dodge...

With vaporeon I use 3 WG before dodging, so 3 seconds... and it works perfectly.

PC which is 0,07 secondes longer than water gun might work as well.

I must try that^^
