Caught Heracross in Florida

This is just to confirm that it is possible to catch Heracross in the United States. I saw it while visiting a family member that goes to University of Tampa over the long weekend. On this site I saw speculation about it only spawning in South America so I just thought I'd share my experience. Best of luck and happy hunting.

Congrats, I have yet to see one.

I remember a discussion about Tauros not spaming from a certain line towards south of Florida. If you were south of that line maybe you ware in spaming area of Heracross?

Not sure about that but I was near the Airport. I used a frequent spawn that was listed on the Silph Road website.

Heracrosses are found at America below the Tauros line. I did a badly drawn line at the American continent map to illustrate:

Heracross can spawn at Florida and also at southern Texas

100 meters this way - tauros, 100 meters that way - heracross.. god damn americans

That's it. There are many people saying it's not regional because they caught it on the US, but 90% of the reports came from Florida and 10% from Texas.

I live in the part of FL that did not get Tauros, and I've caught 2 Heracross already.

With Counter and Close Combat, Heracross is an awesome Blissey and Snorlax killer. Against Blissey, my 2224CP Heracross was already able to defeat a ~2200CP Blissey alone. For Blisseys stronger than that, Heracross usually get killed, but guarantee Blissey will be defeated in time by the second pokemon. Against Snorlax and dodging as much as possible, I already defeated a 2950CP one with him alone.

South florida is not on the part of north america where you can find taurus, there is a line that separates a part of north of mexico to south canada, where is taurus zone. Under that line (south florida), there is heracross.
