Dragonite best moveset?

We all agree that Dragon Breath far surpasses Steel Wing for Dragonite's quick attack, but for its charged attacks, this site has Dragon Claw>Hyper Beam>Dragon Pulse. However on the spreadsheet I found on one of Trainer Tips videos, it has the moves listed the other way around with Hyper Beam>Dragon Pulse>Dragon Claw. So which is it?

Hyper beam is lack luster on dragonite. Just in real world test. Side by side with dragon pulse dragonite with very similar CP on same opponent. Math may prove me wrong though, just my experience.

Dragon Pulse has two major benefits over Hyper Beam, first, it benefits from STAB and second, it takes half the amount of energy to charge. Being that Dragon Pulse with STAB does 81.25 damage per attack and you're theoretically able to use it twice as frequently as Hyper Beam, Dragon Pulse does 162.50 damage to the 120 that Hyper Beam does within the same time frame (animation times not counting, but I believe Dragon Pulse still has a higher DPS than Hyper Beam due to STAB).

DP W/stab has 22.57 dps which is lower than HB's 24.
we can do a small calculation. Within a full circle ( continue using DB until 100 energy and then spend all of it with charge move)
DP move has 15x(100/14)+65x2x1.25=269.642 dmg in (100/14)+3.6x2=14.342 seconds, which makes it 18.803 dmg/s in a full circle.
HB move has 15x(100/14)+120=227.142 dmg in (100/14)+5=12.142 seconds, which makes it 18.707 dmg/s in a full circle.
So they are literally the same if you don't consider dodging or finishing your opponent before a full circle.
And DC has 15x(100/14)+35x2x1.25=194.642 dmg in (100/14)+1.6x2=10.342 seconds, which makes it 18.627 dmg/s. Lower dps but better in handiness.

it takes 3,57sec to generate 50 energy
7,14sec to generate 100 energy.

dragon breath (quick move) deals 20dps/sec
3,57sec = 71,4dmg with quick move
7,14sec = 142,8dmg with quick move

hyper beam dps 30,20 and animation time is 5secs
= 151dmg (+142,8dmg) = 293,8dmg in 12,14secs
= 24,20dmg/sec

dragon pulse dps 28,33 and time is 3,6secs = 101,98dmg (+71,4dmg) = 173,38dmg in 7,17secs
24,18dmg/sec

There isnt big difference, but i think dragon pulse is better than hyper beam, but dragon claw is the best.

Dragon claw short animation time = more time to dodge

Hyper beam = opportunity for defender to use charge,
also some of the hyper beam dmg might go waste.

PS. I use different math for calculations than wizardme but the result is same, there isnt much dps difference.

dragon claw deals 35dmg multiplied by 1,25 (stab bonus) = 43,75dmg
animation time is 1,6sec
Ends up 27,34dmg/sec

Hyper beam does 120dmg and animation time is 5sec
= 24dmg/sec

This site has the correct information.
I dont like trainer tips that much, but it is ok.

It doesn't matter, all of these attacks do very well on offense.
Hyper Beam is a burst attack, that works best as a finisher move on weak or low HP enemies.
Dragon Claw is a hyper aggressive move that can to be used frequently thanks to it's very fast animation. It works well as a pace controller since it allow you to avoid over damaging enemies and you can throw them in between defender quick attacks and still dodge.
Dragon Pulse, my personal favorite, does insane damage over longer fights thanks to it's sheer damage. You have to be careful not to use it at the wrong time so you don't take a charge move during the animation. Using Dragon Pulse after dodging a charge move is generally a good idea, so it does well against defenders with spamable charge moves like Water Pulse, Seed Bomb, Twister...

Dragon Claw > Dragon Pulse > Hyper Beam

Claw has the quickest cool down at 1.60 seconds. Pulse and Beam can both be beneficial depending on the given circumstance. In comparison to Pulse, Beam does deal significantly more damage with about a 2 second quicker DPS; however, Pulse has a 1.4 second quicker cool down than Beam. When you apply the move's cool down to the AI mechanics in the game, this 1.4 seconds can potentially be a solid difference maker in whether the defending AI can successfully win battles against attackers.

Of course, though, this is just my opinion. I think what is currently listed on this site is much more accurate than Trainer Tips. Not that Trainer Tips spews inaccurate information, he is definitely the best YT for Pokemon Go, and he's usually very objective when he's explaining shit. However, some of his recommendations are based off of his subjective experience with the game; which is not a problem, but it can make certain aspects of the game confusing to some players.

They are all very good, dont worry. Once you have dragonbreath, whatever charged attack you get, Dragonite will be your more powerfull attacking pokemon. Hyperbeam has two cons : long animation makes dodging tougher and no bonus against another dragonite.
