Just hatched a Snorlax with legacy move Body Slam

I just hatched a Snorlax with Zen Headbutt and Body Slam.

Egg was from before Gen2 release.

Either proves that Body Slam is not a legacy move (still attainable) or that moveset is pre-determined at time of egg-acquisition.

Mon and Moveset (and most likely IV) is determined at the time of egg acquisition.

Candy count can be determined at the time of hatching.

Some people have a theory that egg 500 is always a 100% IV mon. If this theory is real (I think it is), the IV is determined at the hatch time, since you can keep your first egg and hatch is as your 500.

Even if the theory is true then it doesn't mean that all IV's are decided at the time of hatch...but simply it changes the IVs of the 500th egg as it hatches.
Any and all of these theories are possible.

All are just theories, and none can ever be proven unless Niantic confirms one way or the other.

Hatching an egg isn't like evolving a new mon. The pokemon is essentially set at the time of acquisition.

No the 500th egg is not 100%. Mine wasn't. Let's not make things up here.

As for the original poster - the egg being from before Gen 2 tells you all that you need to know. Key word being "before".
