PS: a few more findings/assumptions:
- babies (Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Togepi, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby) are not encountered in the wild
- Togepic can be but it is damn hard to catch (harder than a wild Dragonite)
- evolution items are distributed randomly from pokestops but they are extremely rare
How many Gen2 available in the game?
Hey,
I was wondering if we have a precise count of Gen2 pokemons?
The theoretical count is 100 but the 6 legendaries are for sure not included so max is 94.
On the other hand, Niantic said they added 80+ whereas there were already 8 (7 babies + Togetic). So I guess the real number is between 88 and 94?
I've been playing as much as I possibly could since Gen2 is out. As of today, referring to the Johto medal, I have collected 79 different ones (incl. baby 'mons that I had previously). There are 3 more that I have seen but missed. And some I know I just miss the evolution item (Sun Stone, Metal Coat, Dragon Scale) or a few candies.
Never seen/grabbed:
201 Unown
214 Heracross (I live in Europe, maybe regional?)
222 Corsola
225 Delibird
235 Smeargle
236 Tyrogue
Anybody has these? Can you please confirm the exact number of Gen2 available?
Thx.

Smeargle is like gen 2 ditto, he is not in the game yet. I live in Brazil and have seen about 10 heracross, he is probably a regional. There are reports of players finding unknown all around the world. I saw a post here yesterday where someone said that delibird is the northen canada, alasca and the north and cold part of europe and asia, don't think it is real.don't know anything about corsola.
