Body slam and Snorlax

Looks like Snorlax's lick body slam moveset just got nerfed as an attacker; body slam is now a three bar move.

Hmm

...and a Snorlax legacy move

For new Snorlax.... No more Body Slam Move... It becomes legacy...

True.

BUT.... Hyper Beam is now like 150 damage!

It's pretty GG considering it does STAB and only Rock, Ghost and Steel resist it.

In other words, a SNax with Hyper Beam does regular unbuffed damage to Rock, Ghost and Steel, and Super Effective damage against EVERYTHING ELSE.

Yes. I guess I started the post as a bit of a rant cause I literally had just hatched a lick body slam snorlax one hour before the update... oh well

HyperBeam 150 damage is irrelevant because it is so easy to dodge.

BodySlam is now 50 damage and a 3 bar charged move which essentially makes it a BS move because it was already hard to dodge, but after the attacker dodged it twice they knew they had some time to spam quick attacks or hit hard with their charged attack.

Ask yourself this question. As an attacker is it easier to dodge 1 hyperbeam for 150 damage that you can see coming from far away the moment the attack animation begins or 3 body slams at 50 damage each that hits you out of nowhere with no charge animation?

I get your point, but are you speaking in the context of the Snorlax being a defender?

Or are you talking about PvP?

Snorlax is a better defender than a attacker. Snorlax damage per second is lower than other top pokemon attackers.

Dude I don't think you got the point, a HyperBeam snorlax does a ton of damage as an attacker.

And have you tried gymming recently, dodging is harder now.

Is that not better for defending as it'll spam BS more? I hope so anyway!

I still think body slam is a good defending move, but in combination with lick it is no longer a good moveset relative to a zen headbutt one in either attack or defends scenarios.
