Is there any useful PINK pokemon?
Hi there. I'm new at this game, started just 2 weeks ago. Now I'm at the trainer level 22 and use and train Exeggutor(45% Zen+Psychic) and Jolteon(85% Thunder).
So, what I wanted to ask you is that is there any useful PINK pokemon in the event. I've felt that I encountered more Exeggcute than before, so I pland to substitute my 45% Exegg to the better one. But in the game, there are several PINKs. Which pokemon could be useful early in the game? Clefairy? Slowpoke?
Thanks for reading poor English.

Your best go is to catch at least all Exeggute and Chansey. The rest you may be interested in as Pokedex fillers.
Exeggute is a great all rounder and is very good in attacking the common vaporeon in gyms. As defender you really want a high IV one, as it will be fairly difficult to put him in a gym due to his relative low cp to the top CP tiers.
Chansey has the highest HP of all Pokemon and is a pain in the ass when faced in the gym. It is quite time consuming to kill. Most of all, in generation 2 it will evolve into Blizzy which can obtain a very high CP and will be more compatible in gyms. Even more, attack stats etc. will greatly increase when evolved. This is why you want to farm as much Chansey candy now as possible.
Slowbro might be useful as gym train Pokemon, just as wigglytuff and Clefable.
Porygon (evolve in porygon2 in gen2), lickytung and other Pokemon I might forget now from the event, I don't know the exact purpose of those.
Jigglypuff, Exeggcute, and Chansey are probably the main ones that you are going to want to get a lot of.
Clefable with Pound/Moonblast can be okay for attacking Dragonite if you don't have an ice type to better serve you.
With the increased candy, it is also a good idea to check https://thesilphroad.com/atlas to see if there are any good pokemon you are looking for in nests near you that you can farm. I think nests just changed today, so current nests might not be reported yet. You can go to places that are marked and see if anything out of the normal is spawning at high rates and report it yourself.
Slowbro, Exeggutor, and Wigglytuff (prestige king) are some of the best pokemon in the game. Probably all in the top-10 overall, Exeggutor more like top-5 as a defender/attacker.
Now there's also Chansey, which will evolve into Blissey when Gen2 drops, and this pokemon is slated to be the best defender in the game under the current base stats + CP calculation. When you're thinking about which pokemon you should be walking as your "buddy," for me it comes down to Snorlax, Lapras, or Chansey. Blissey is going to be absolutely unreal in gyms, and if you can be the first in your town to have a few of these guys ready to go, you're going to be sitting pretty with gym defenders and collecting coins with ease :)
Outside of the above pokemon, there really aren't many "pink" pokemon that I find useful in this game.
Prestiging is when you are training up a gym (attacking your own team's gym to level it up) and use pokemon that are either:
- Equal cp or less than the pokemon in the gym (awards 500+ gym xp/pokemon)
- Half the cp or less than the pokemon in the gym (awards 1000+ gym xp/pokemon)
..In order to save time. Your entire team must be of said cp.
Example: The gym's lowest pokemon is a 1600 Flareon.
- Your ENTIRE team must consist of pokemon that are 1600 cp or less to receive said xp
- Your ENTIRE team must consist of pokemon that are 800 cp or less to receive said xp.
To answer your initial question:
- Chansey. Candies are hard to acquire as Chansey is naturally rare and requires 5km/buddy candy (outside of the event)
- Lickitung. In generation 4, Lickitung evolves into Lickilicky. If you plan on playing this game in the distant future, Lickitung is one to keep an eye out for
- Porygon. In generation 4 as well, Porygon -> (Porygon 2, gen 2) -> Porygon-Z who is going to have a nasty Attack, close to if not greater than Alakazam's
