Wild Lapras
I've been playing since July and am Level 32. I've never seen a Lapras in the wild, or been lucky enough to hatch one from a 10K egg. So you can imagine my excitement when I loaded up PoGo while having my breakfast this morning only to find a Lapras in my kitchen. In a frenzy I clicked on the Lapras only to receive a dreaded "Network Error" message (my house has rock solid Wifi) and the Lapras disappeared. I waited around just in case the spawn point is one of those where the pokemon reappears; caught other mons that appeared but no, it was gone. Sometimes it feels like Niantic just wants to kick you in the proverbials!! :-(

As someone level 35 that still have never seen a wild Lapras I feel your pain, really sorry about that. I really think that Niantic is not aware of their player wishes and concerns.
If they have worked with map apps for example instead of closing them down, we would by now had some kind of a tracker that pushes a notification when a rare mon is close to you even with the phone screen locked, you would have recived that notification, turned on your phone 30 mins before and had a chance of actually catching him, even with errors, bugs, logouts, bad connection, 30 mins and you have time to even charge your phone, reset it, install and uninstall the app etc.
Playing since day1, never seen a Lapras, 3 months since I saw the last good mon on my tracker, an Alakazam that turned to be 500 cp and bad iv's. There is so much they could do with this game to make it the best game ever...I dream about it, at least dreaming is free :D
