Seakings Best Moveset: Peck Megahorn?

Seaking sucks, but is their an argument its least unuseful moveset is Peck Megahorn? That moveset would do Super Effective Damage against Exeggutor. What do you guys think?

Just don't get hit by the Solar Beam.

From looking at the charts on this site for that seaking moveset, I can see why you ask this question. Yes Peck and megahorn show a 1.25 bonus against grass/psychc, but overall grass has a 1.25 bonus for attack against seaking.
I don't think seaking is strong enough to win even with dodging against an exeggutor. The HP difference is just too much.
I can't test this theory because I transfer all my goldeens, if and when I choose to catch them.

usually confusion/psychic is the moveset for exeggutor though.

look at the dps comparison.
the exeggutor has a huge advantage, with the HP advantage, I just don't see it as a good choice.
There are so many better mons to use instead of that seaking.

but go into a gym and test your own theories. Have some fun with the possibilities.
For me that seaking would be playing on the professors farm.

this moveset would be for a fun prestiger. not for attacking gyms. However, I think even with doing super effective damage, poison jabs dps is higher than peck (and poison jab also produces more energy)

PJ does superior and even SE damage.

I am holding onto a few high IV pokemon like Goldern, Doduo, and Spearow hoping that the evolved movesets might someday change or improve. Otherwise I agree. I don't really bother much with catching them.

In this scenario wouldn't you want poison jab anyway since it is also super effective and has higher dps?

Exeggutor's grass typing resists poison so it cancels out and does neutral.

Grass is weak to poison. What you are probably thinking of is that most grass pokemon in Gen1 are dual typed grass/poison and the poison type neutralizes the grass weakness to poison.

But certainly Exeggutor (and Arcanine) are now less common because Rhydon/Golem and Gyarados have stepped over them by CP.

I've tried most Seaking against Eggy and basically they inflict some damage but I've yet to finish one off. Add in a Pidgeotto or two and combined they'll do the job.

Goldean are common round here so I evolve them and use them as disposable prestigers rather than sending them straight to Pro. Willow.
