IV Distribution Math Question: Which Rhydon will have higher CP?

Thanks in advance everyone :)

My first Rhydon is A14-D14-S12 which is 2419CP at level 26

I have a level 20 Rhyhorn which is A13-D15-S13 and 941CP at level 20.

If I evolve my Rhyhorn and power up both of these Rhydons to level 37.5, what will there CP be?

I'm asking because I don't want to evolve my Rhyhorn if it won't even jump the CP of my Rhydon after it is powered up.

Thanks!

At 37.5:
Rhydon 14/14/12: 3141 CP; 172HP
Rhydon 13/15/13: 3142 CP: 173 HP

So...it will jump the CP, but barely. Honestly everything is negligible. I'd just pump up the first one because he'd take slightly less work and if you like the moveset. He's not a great defender due to double weakness to water and grass, but can still claim a good spot.

Just use the Gamepress IV calculator, it will give you the exact final CP. I just used it to decide between two 91% magikarps.

A general rule is that the Attack stat is overweighted, so if you have two pokemon with the same combined IV%, the one with the higher Attack stat will have the higher CP for a given level.

In your case, however, you will want to double check as your Rhyhorn has a lower attack IV than your Rhydon, but a greater combine IV%.

... or just reference the answer given above by the nice person that calculated it for you.

Cool - my Gyarados got Hydro Pump. It's 13 15 13 (H A D), and powered it up to 2948. Attacker for sure.

Now we just have to see if they add wing attack as a quick attack for Gyarados to make me pay the price for not waiting.

Dragon Tail is the new quick move that Gyarados might be getting. It doesn't learn Wing Attack in the main series games. ... It also doesn't have any wings to attack with.

Is there a reason you can't have two Rhydons? They are mostly fodder for high gym placement.

For future reference to calculate it on your own you can add the IVs to each base stat found on Rhydon's page on Gamepress. From there you can multiply the ATK rating by the product of the square root of the DEF/STA ratings to determine which will have the higher CP. The numbers will be bigger than the actual CP rating but they will be proportional to it. Better yet just do ATKSTADEF for a more accurate rating of true combat effectiveness than CP itself.
