If we can't ban spoofers, how about banning the sale of accounts on sites like ebay

I've read these Q&As for awhile and it seems that everyone is obsessed with spoofers. Every answer "oh it is a spoofer."
How about niantic contact sites like ebay to prohibit the sale of accounts. If spoofers have no monetary reason to spoof they will go away.

It is too late for that, accounts are being selled anyway on the internet, there are too many spoofers and Niantic knows it. A lot of people is selling and buying accounts, even on youtube there is people giving away them in exchange of likes, comments, etc...

If they had a better customer service a lot of spoofers had been banned right now, they don't even answer or look at report emails, I have sent many of them, giving enough proofs that no one was actually there taking that gym at that time, all I got was an auto reply saying that they will look the case but I won't get an answer, lol it makes my laugh...It is like "Thank you for contact us customer, but we don't care, goodbye".

There is a pretty good video on YT of a group of guys filming a gym in the middle of a street at night, no one can be around, there are no buildings and no parked cars, it is in the middle of nowhere, and the gym is taking all the way down and 2 spoofers put a mon on there, they sent the video to Niantic a month ago, never got a answer, seriously? Those guys where filming the street and the pokémon app working on their phone at that time, showing more than enough proof to ban them forever, and Niantic does not do anything? When I saw it I could not believe my eyes.

Anyway, game will stay like this until it drops down that much that no one will buy accounts anymore and hackers will lost interest.

Most spoofers don't use bought accounts - they just play the game from a PC using an ordinary account.

The accounts sold on ebay etc. are mainly bot generated. Periodically Niantic do a sweep of these and close them down.

Home spoofers are probably very hard to detect if they're using the right APK.

I suspect the scale of manually checking accounts (you wouldn't want to ban someone on the strength of a malicious report) is huge. My small town in the UK has at least four obvious spoofers (one of whom has disappeared - possibly banned), multiply the number of small towns across the playing world by four or five, not to mention big cities...

Spoofers are problem.

Only solution is to find your team mates who are also spoofers.
But where to find????

Im not suggesting cheating.
Im trying to find spoofers, that are in my team.

Its not cheating, they are cheaters alrdy.
I just want them to protect gyms where my pokemons are.

They are gona spoof anyways, so they could spoof gyms in my location, to help me.

This gym is getting attacked by enemy spoofers, so its only fair play to find spoofers that are in same team with me. (im legit player)

The current situation is this: every team have spoofers
So try find em to help you.
Because they dont get banned,

And i dont wanna watch every day my gym gets attacked by spoofers from enemy teams.
Where is my team spoofers to help me????

Where can i easily find my team mates?? (spoofers)

I'm not condoing but it's interesting because I didn't report a spoofer on my team just yesterday.

There are 3 gyms not far from each other.
First Gym is where I was in a Parking Lot
Second Gym the street is a side street and about 12 houses down is 2nd Gym at corner of side street
Turn
Third Gym is turn at corner and go maybe 8 more houses.

I had worked my way the other way, and dropped off pokemon in Gym3 and even left an empty spot. Did Gym2. And was powering up Gym1

All of a Sudden in Gym1 a teammate appeared. Looked around and saw no one. Could have been in building.

30 sec later, Gym 2 is being powered up. Now I would have seen anyone go from where I was down the street I was directly facing and looking.

Gym2 gets powered up, and Gym3's empty spot filled 10 seconds after that.

I thought about reporting him and said every other time Ive reported spoofers it hasn't matter so be it.

I intend to report all of them, no matter if they are in my team. I understand the frustration. Sending a report takes a great effort that doesn't pay back immediately...but I still hope that someday they will have the time to take care of all these spoofers

We have to report spoofers on our own teams, too.
And the last guy i reported on i never saw again.
