New patch 0.41.2, is it bad or good for leveling a gym?

It has some real bad things, like caculating prestige with your strongest cp Pokémon . Now you have to go with six 10hp pokemons for bubblestrat.
The adjust of the cp of the defending pokemon may be a good thing for lower level trainers.

Overall I think this new update will make things harder when leveling your own gym .

What do you guys think ?

I haven't downloaded this or tried it yet, but it seems to me it may be easier to train established gyms as you may be able to find a type advantage in your arsenal against all the pokes you face. Otherwise I'm guessing you just continue to dominate the first couple pokes and just take a bunch of low cp pokes in the rest of your crew.

I tried it. Never used bubble strat anyway but my Chansey or simply Magikarps. It is better overall, since it takes away the frustration if you miss dodging a charge move and die.

Much easier.

I tried it tonight and by letting you use 6 at a time, it's easier to use lower CP pokemon. The downside is I'm finding a bigger drain on potions.

That's true. I'm really interested in this new mechanic. I trained a gym with 2 Gyarados and 1 Dragonite using 6 Jolteons, won the first two, ran away and earned ~1300 pretiges per round. That's so nice.

I haven't tried Bubbletrat before but Magikarp instead. I will ask my teammate to add two Magikarps at a time and test soon.
