Which phone do you play with?

RIP to my phone, its a goner. I'd like to know what you all use, or if you have any suggestions for something that runs well. Honestly pokemon is about all i use it for, lol. Also, top of the line phones aren't in my price range. The LG G Flex 2 caught my eye a bit, but I haven't really researched much yet since this just happened. Still bummed I can't play for an indefinite amount of time.. Maybe that'll make gen 2 come out for the rest of ya.

Whatever you do, don't buy my phone (Moto G Gen 3)... :D Lag, Lag, Lag... although it identifies Pokemon really fast, it is a bit of a nightmare at a gym or at a crowded venue. I'd love to replace it, but can't afford to.

My friend uses a crappy pay-as-you-go phone and runs Pokemon Go just fine. it bugs out on rare occasion and he has to restart his phone, but when PoGo is running it runs just fine. I think a newer, but cheaper, phone would probably be fine. But others may have more info than me.

I know its not Android but until recently i had an iPhone 5S and have also just bought my daughter a brand new iPhone 5S (i.e. 2 year old model, but still sold in 16Gb version) unlocked for $369 (Australian $, so only about $280 US) . That's a fraction of the price of current models and is a great all rounder if you don't mind the smaller screen (I prefer it) or need mega memory for app storage etc. The touchscreen is very responsive (important for dodging) and it is still a very fast phone in other ways and when I've been out playing PG with my friend on his LG/Android mine has had much fewer errors and lag problems.

Yeah I use iPhone 5s and it is very good according to its price. I did my gym run once with my dad's iPhone 7 and it was like butter. Not a lot of difference between both but at that time I used Moto g 1st gen with 1 GB ram and it was hell to play with.

I've got the same phone. I was just wondering if you also got occasional crashes to the home screen, as I don't know whether that's due to my phone or the game.

If you meant me and the Moto G (Gen 3), then it doesn't really matter which it is, bloaty game or laggy phone. I find the more crowded the venue, or the lower my battery power, the more chance of multiple freezes and game crashes. It makes me sad, because I researched a lot when I bought this phone and loved it - before Pokemon Go.

Prob any phone with 2gbs of ram should be good. I highly highly suggest the one plus. It's around $350 USD to my knowledge? But it's for GSM networks (AT&T, T-Mobile, and etc) only I believe. Hope you get that resolved soon.

I use a Moto G4 Plus, the standard Moto G4 would also be fine but avoid the budget Moto G4 Play (only 1gb RAM). The Moto G4 is cheap, has an excellent battery life, meets the processor/ram requirements and near stock Android with no bloatware.

I have a One Plus 3T since a month ago and I can't be more happy, it is amazing for me to go out and play without having to carry my external battery, I can play 6 hours before it almost dies and I have never played more than 4-5 on weekends, and also with dash charge you can get it from 5%-75% in a matter of 20-25 minutes.

Very happy with it, my only bad experience with it is that I am not able to find a good tempered glass screen protector and that makes me worry if someday it falls.

Currently Samsung S7. Waterproof, good screen contrast and fast. I recommend this phone for Pokemon Go.
