Gen 2 Parallel Universe?
I know this can only be speculation, but do you think it likely that Gen1 and Gen2 will inhabit the same "Universe"? So walking around would see both Gen1 and Gen2 spawns simultaneously? Or perhaps at log-in choose to play in either generation... If they are all together then collectors/hoarders would have to do some serious pruning of Pokemon storage space (or Niantic would graciously allow the option to buy more space..). Or would Gen1 be "frozen" with what we have collected up to now (excepting those that exist in Gen2 - eevee,etc?) Just idly wondering about the possibilities...

I don't think so, the easiest and better way to do it is just put all gen2 mons by removing most of useless spawns from gen1, since they added a lot of more spawns during time I only see the same mon again and again and again, pidgey, rattata, zubat, weedle, eevee, ekans...remove most of that spawns and add gen2 ones, not all of course for new players, but 9/10 of my spawns are these mons, make it 2/10 and you have space for those new gen2 mons.
