item distribution pokestop

Does anyone know the distribution of items you get at a pokestop (chance on poke ball,greatball,ultaball,revive,...)? I have a feeling i get almost no revives last time (when you spin like 10 stops you would expect at least one revive, but no not one)

I am pretty convinced there is an algorithm that automatically gives you the items you need least. Whenever I am low on pokeballs, I get potions and revives. And vice versa.

Great. You can use this algorithm strategically. Just throw away all Potions and Revives when in need of balls. :-)

You mean I should do it with all my balls now? How do I get this dust then? And I'm a rural player, only 2 pokestops here.

I was ironic. I assume, there is no algorithm except Random Number Generator to determine poke-stop-output.

It could just be an unintended result of making an algorithm that provided more of a specific item, that you were collecting most of.
That is, if you have been collecting lots of pokeballs, it will recognise it and give you more.

The same algorithm may work against you or for you depending on your circumstance....if it exists at all.

To do statistics, you need a bigger sample. Just collect 200 Items, then you can expect 11 revives, and anything between 5 and 20 will be most likely.

thanks for the response, the chance for revives is pretty low. I tend to use more revives now than in the beginning days because of prestiging with half cp pokemon. It happens like a lot when one of my pokemons feints (i was to slow in switching to the next) it starts battling with the previous pokemon with already very low hit points and then this one feints after one attack

Yes, this happens. I see two work-arounds:
* use slightly bigger prestigers, like 2/3 CP. They survive more likely.
* Use mass-evolved ratticates and other pkm you don't need, and just transfer them after faint.

Has anyone tried to spin 9 pokestops right before midnight and then spin the 10th once it hits 12? Does the critical drop compound with the daily bonus??? Not XP, but number of items dropped?

When i was out of retive I take pokestop ride. Over 50 pokestop and receive 200 item and i got 6 retive not a single maxretive.

There was a thread in this QA about a week ago where someone claimed they had reverse engineered the APK and had found references to an algorithm that does exactly this.

There were very few comments and no one seemed to take it seriously.
I am not sure if it was made up, but the person who made the thread appeared very convinced they had found something interesting.

It may have been complete rubbish, but there is also a very good possibility that he was in fact 100% correct but because he isn't Silph or GamePress then no one took him seriously.

I would not be at all surprised if someone else finds this soon and then claims to be the first to find it.
