Expected Tyranitar moves?

Where the "expected moves" on Tyranitar page came from? Datamining?

Rock Slide can be crazy in defense on his hands, also Bite with STAB for offense. I want to see that, but he hasnt any decent Quick move for defense, cause the other is Fire fang and Vaporeon is going to be his more common attacker...

Bite / Stone Edge is gonna be a mean combo for attacking.

Maybe he will have Rock Throw / Rock Slide for defense.

Obvious currently available moves are quick move Bite and charge moves Rock Slide and Stone Edge.

Since Niantic has decided they don't want to give pokemon moves that they can't learn in the main series games, I think they really need to add a new rock type quick move. http://www.serebii.net/attackdex-xy/smackdown.shtml Smack Down would be good because it is a TM in the main series so Niantic would be able to allow a lot of pokemon to use it. Otherwise I fear Tyranitar is hoing to end up with Mud Slap which will not be very good without STAB.

http://www.serebii.net/attackdex-xy/crunch.shtml Tyranitar also needs Crunch as a new charge move with damage, time and energy cost similar to Psychic.

If you mean Niantic doesn't want to give Pokemon moves they don't naturally learn from levelling up, there's plenty of moves in this game where this is true.

Omastar doesn't learn Rock Throw naturally, Machamp, Kabutops and Nidoqueen don't learn Stone Edge, Dragonite doesn't learn Dragon Claw, Lapras with Frost Breath, and so on, so it's not really an excuse for Niantic to give certain Pokemon terrible movesets.

After the moveset change, new pokemon in Pokemon Go can only have moves that they can learn in any of the main series games either by leveling up, with a TM or move tutor, or through breeding.

All of the legacy moves, including Rock Throw on Omastar and Dragon Breath on Gyarados, were moves that the pokemon can't learn in any possible way in the main series.

-Nidoqueen, Machamp, and Kabutops can learn Stone Edge with a TM.
-Dragonite can Learn Dragon Claw with a TM and can learn Dragon Pulse through breeding.
-Lapras can learn Frost Breath with a TM and can learn Dragon Pulse through breeding.

Gyarados can learn DragonBreath with a TM. It was TM24 in Gen 2.

Bite/Stoneedge for attacking
Rock Throw/RockSlideorDarkpulse for defense

Those would be the good combo
Fire Frang makes no sense.

Tyranitar can't learn Rock Throw in the main series.

?
The site you listed shows that Tyranitar learns it at 63. Tyranitar does learn Stone Edge but only Gen 4 onwards because that's when Stone Edge was added.

What? Level 63 is Stone Edge.

Rock Throw. Tyranitar. Can not. Learn. Rock. Throw.

I did not say it can't learn Stone Edge. I don't understand... how did you... What?

Like Dragonite, maybe tyranitar will acquire a fast or a charge move that covers many of its weaknesses.

Dragonite's non-STAB steel wing hits three of his weaknesses: rock, fairy, and ice.

Tyranitar is weak against:
Fighting (2x weak),
Fairy and Bug,
Water, Grass, Steel, and Ground
I think that's it..

A fire or flying move would each cover 3 weaknesses,
Poison and ice and grass would each cover two,

Perhaps getting access to fire fang may make sense from this perspective
