Gyarados legacy move sets

If I have magikargps captured/hatched before the legacy move sets were stopped, could they possibly evolve with the legacy movesets?

I don't think so, but i'm not 100% sure.

The answer is No.

No. The moveset is random on each evolution, independent of when the pokemon was caught. e.g. if two players catch the same pokemon, they have the same IVs and will show the same catch date/location but evolve random movesets. Hence you can only get moves presently supported

Are you 100% sure? I think, after they took away rock throw from Omastar, it was still possible to evolve one, if your Omanite was caught before the change...

You are probably wrong. I evolved a play rough wigglituff this week and I believe it's a legacy move

Play rough isn't legacy on wigglytuff, I evolved one recently from a relatively been jugglypuff. I know jiggs has a legacy moveset though

I thought the same thing for my omanyte, turned out to be WG + HP (not complaining though)

I know that at least for eggs, eggs caught prior to the update may contain mons with legacy movesets (porygon, staryu, seel, etc.)

I've been seeing a lot of DB/DP Gyarados lately, and as someone who uses Dragonite as a default it's been kind of annoying.
