Is this Jolteon worth powering up?

His stats are: 15 HP /15 ATTACK/ 10 DEF >>> 89%

And his moveset is the best: Thunder Shock / Thunder

I dont have any problem with spend dust. I have 501k. Im lvl 27, and Jolteon CP is: 1300

Is Jolteon the best Electric pkm?

I wouldn't. Or at least not to the max. Might be worth powering up to train up a gym.

It's a Jolteon. It's NOT worth powering up. You will get plenty more that are far stronger later. And it's by FAR the weakest of the three Eevee evolutions right now (both by CP and also by moves).

Until Niantic makes electric types at least a little bit more viable, it's pretty pointless to waste any dust on one unless it has like 100% IVs or something. Dust is extremely expensive later on, when it might take you close to 100k or more just to max out one Pokemon.

I have a 100% Jolteon with Thunder Shock and Thunder maxed out. It's garbage.

Don't do what I did and waste your Stardust.

Yeah, I powered my 93% up to 1600 CP, and the only time I don't regret spending all that dust is when I encounter a gym defended by several Gyarados...

I wouldn't, Jolteons won't last defending a Gym, and as an specialized electric type attacker, Raichu is better:

The tradeoff is a little more stamina/defense, but not a lot, if you time your dodges well, the difference shouldn't really be noticeable. Even if it was a Raichu, you probably shouldn't power it up, electric pokemon are only really useful against Gyarados because he's x2 weak, to beat other water pokemons have other weaknesses that you can exploit more easlily. The one electric pokemon you might want to power up is Magneton, but only if Lapras is very common in your area, as Lapras is weak to both electric and steel, plus you get damage reduction because of steel type, which electric vs water matchup doesn't get you.

Nope. 1300 should be more than enough to take down any Gyarados. Besides, you'll be evolving a lot of Evees and can easily get a Jolt in the 1700 range without spending the dust

I am not sure why Jolteon is not getting enough love, mine has shitty IV but perfect moveset and I have him maxed, because he utterly destroys any water pokemons, and I love the Thunder animation. Plus it's not easy to get a better Jolteon, first you have 33% to get a Jolteon out of an Eeve, then you have another 33% to actually get Thunder, which makes up for a real shitty chance for another thunder jolteon
