Hey guys... Just gonna ask if this really happened. I have 3 "permanent" mons in gyms that are not easily accessible e.g. out of the way etc. Now I noticed they're dead. Nothing fancy about that since it does happen from time to time. Now I'm sitting here on a little cafe in our small town and I noticed that all gyms around me are empty. Did Niantic kicked all mons?

No, normal here.

Oh well... Thanks. Probably some dedicated trainer decided we were there long enough or just happen to pass by. IIRC, the last time I went there was during Halloween. The gyms were on top of a hill. So they're rarely visited.

Probably a spoofer visit - watch to see if the same ids suddenly occupy all of them.

If after some minutes they are still empty for me there is no doubt that they were take down by spoofers, they do it a lot, take a lot of gyms and put mons some minutes/hours later, even wait for another trainer to put mon first, it is just a more secure way to hack and avoid to be reported.

If you see for example 3 or 4 high level gyms (8+) going down in a matter of minutes/hour people will suspect that probably a spoofer is around, and if the gym stays empty after taking it down it is for sure a hacker ;)

I've done that a few times while by myself if I have already cashed out for the day. I don't like putting trash mons in gyms because it hurts other players on my team. I'd rather an enemy team gets it with 3 mons which can be taken over again easily than put a 500 mon that can't be trained against. Not always a spoofer. Although I suppose multiple gyms in the same area being taken down is a bit more questionable.

There are talks in my area about a 4th team called team gray. Apparently they just clear the gyms and walk away.....
