Prestiging Gym with Group

If you attack an enemy gym in a group, the group members attack simultaneously. Group members appear on the screen at the same time, and the gym defender's HP decreases based on the combined attacks of the group.. a much faster rate than with a single player. This is a significant advantage.

What happens if you prestige a gym in a group? Does the gym defender HP also decrease more quickly based on the combined attacks of the group? Is the prestige formula calculated based on the highest CP pokemon of the full group? Or are all group members effectively independent from one another, not even appearing on the same screen during the gym battle?

Training is a private event. You do it alone.

although, if you got in with 5 low cp (like 10 cp) pokes and one that will take out the first guy, then you will gain way more cp than if you went in with your a-team.

It is based on the highest CP of your party. You generally are going to want your pokemon to all be about the same CP. No sense dropping pokemon 2-6 down to 10cp unless all of them are and you are using bubblestrat.

For training you want your party to be at least the same CP as the gym defender, but lower is better. If you are equal, you gain 500 prestige. As you go lower, it scales up with a maximum at 1000 prestige if your party is hald the defender's CP.

If any pokemon in your party is over the defender's CP, even if it doesn't actually fight, then your prestige quickly drops below 500, with a minimum of 100 prestige.
