Overview

A member of Sinnoh's Lake Trio, Uxie is limited to Asia and Australia, meaning a lot of players will want to get in on Remote Raids whenever it drops by. As a pure Psychic Type, Uxie is weak to a number of the best types in the game... and Bug type.... so it's not a terribly hard raid. It is pretty bulky by comparison, but still falls pretty quickly.

Note that a Duo is definitely doable, but this guide will focus on the much more achievable Trio.

Approach

Team composition

  • The top Dark Types make quick work of this raid, as at least one of the top picks naturally resists everything that Uxie can throw at them save Thunder.

Dodging strategy

  • Know when to dodge and when to let a Pokemon go. If your Pokemon is close to a Charged Move, then dodge. If your Pokemon is unlikely to get to the next Charged Move before fainting regardless, then let it faint.

Best Raid Boss Counters

Supreme Mega Evolution Counters

Mega Tyranitar Mega Tyranitar
Fast MoveCharge MoveRating

Arguably the absolute best counter to Uxie in the game, Mega Tyranitar sports solid DPS and absolutely crazy TDO, thanks in part to its resistance to everything that Uxie can throw its way save Thunder.

Mega Gengar Mega Gengar
Fast MoveCharge MoveRating

The one real contender to the throne, Mega Gengar drops a lot of TDO when compared to Mega Tyranitar, but gains a lot of DPS in return. It's genuinely glassy, but it's going to leave a large cut in Uxie's HP bar in its short time on the field.

Good Mega Evolution Counters

Mega Banette Mega Banette

Shadow Gengar, but worse. On the bright side, it's not weak to Uxie's STAB moves.

Mega Absol Mega Absol
Fast MoveCharge MoveRating
Mega Houndoom Mega Houndoom

Mega Pinsir Mega Pinsir
Fast MoveCharge MoveRating

The top Bug Type Mega Evolution for this raid, but that's genuinely not saying much when its competition is Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gengar....

Supreme Counters

shadow_chandelure Shadow Chandelure
Fast MoveCharge MoveRating

A rather enlightening counter, Shadow Chandelure is the top Ghost in overall terms, sporting an outstanding average performance that trashes Uxie in pretty short order.

ShadowTyranitar Shadow Tyranitar
Fast MoveCharge MoveRating

Much like its Mega forme, Shadow Tyranitar is a hard-hitting Pokemon with outstanding average performance. It lasts a long time and resists everything save Thunder, so it's hard to call it anything but a supreme counter.

Good Counters

shadow-gengar Shadow Gengar

Shadow Gengar holds up the grand tradition of its species as a glassy DPS power-house. It doesn't stand at the forefront like its ancestor once did, but it's still worth a team slot!
