Today in Pokemon GO: Party Hat Pikachu Available, Global Challenge Results, and Rayquaza Raid Hour

August 7th, 2019 in Pokemon GO brings several events to the game.

First, with GO Fest Yokohama 2019 underway, another hat has been put on Pikachu for the day! This time, it's Party Hat Pikachu. 

This Pikachu is available until 8 PM CST today. After that, another Pikachu with a hat will take its place.

Pichu is also available today with this hat on, and shiny Party Hat Pichu will also be available to a few lucky trainers. 

Blanche's Global Research Challenge had its progress updated at 4 AM CST today. 

• Team Mystic: 14.1 million
• Team Valor: 12.1 million
• Team Instinct: 8.9 million
• GO Fest Yokohama: 939,000 

The goals are 25 million per team and 2 million for the GO Fest Yokohama area.

Late last night, a push notification was sent out to players in the New Zealand area that confirmed that Legendary Raid Hour will be taking place again today, Wednesday, August 7th, 2019. 

Rayquaza raids will populate every gym from 6 PM to 7 PM in your local time zone. 

This event was skipped last week, just as it was skipped the first week that Armored Mewtwo arrived into raids.
