Not sure if that means Hardcore or Casual as I stay outside for 4 hours in the evening hoarding dust, candy, and up to 4 gyms if I can find any that have 8 hours. Plus catching everything I can find that pops up in my house every hour.
Well there are people raiding around here the entire morning, I thought they'd be hardcore since they are actually competitive and take things seriously. I just go with the flow, put nice looking but otherwise useless mons in gyms, and restrict my attacking power in favor of having variation in my attack team.
I don't do mass evolves, I just focus more on catching stuff, taking over gyms, doing small raids, hatching eggs and getting candy for the buddies I want to level. I only evolve unneeded stuff when I've reached the end of the level and even then it's mostly the stuff I have acquired heaps of candy for.
I used to only play 2 hours a day before I got my external battery in January this year.
This is why I can't really be sure if I qualify as hardcore, all I care about is to collect stuff and get some movement done daily.

In our neighborhood, we have players that have reached level 40 twice over, throw away all Legendaries under 93%, and have done everything one can do in the game. I'm not like that, but playing 30-90 minutes a day, and very little on weekends, I'm nearly competitive with them in terms of best pokemon for gym raids, etc.

I have a lot of slow periods at work so i have the game up a lot, and try to find a raid on lunch breaks. Will go out raiding a few days a week after work with my roommate and neighbors. Have spent $20 on the game and don't want to spend any more.

I had > 1/2 year break in 2017, until the gym rework and raids happened. In terms of knowledge about the game, I tend to be very efficient, and I was able to solo any T3 except Jolteon, Claydol, Ninetales and Alakazam (the latter because I haven't seen it since it came back). Time spent playing varies from 1 to 3 hours per day depending on events. I never had more than 100k stardust (30k right now). I do an average of 25 legendary raids per month.

Status: Active, but not Hardcore. My office sits on top of three pokestops, so I catch from my desk all day, and there is a park two blocks away with a dozen stops and three gyms, so I spend lunch hour there. 7 gyms within "nearby" distance from my office, so I hit as many legendary raids as possible. Usually two or three a day.

I didn’t get to 38 til Dec 1, 2017 despite never missing spin and catch streak...start 7/14/16. Got to 40; 4/7/18.
Play 30 min b4 work. 30 min after work, when I go to grocery store, and take 3 y/o to park. Weekends play from 530am to 715am and when I see convenient raids.
630 days 3800 km walked. No spawns/stops at my place of employment, if so could have 10,000 or more go plus catches

Two friends at work got me started despite my reluctance. Within a week they had dropped out and I kept rocketing on. I used to be pretty dogged before I hit 40, and now I just do whatever I want. Sometimes that looks furious and sometimes that looks really laconic. I'm the scholarly researcher in my local scene, so people from all teams generally come to me to get the scoop on what's what. I learn a lot here from you other knowledgeable players and from the Silph Road.

I'd say that since last summer I've gone through periods where I've played alot - some days up to 7 hours - to playing less some days and then be a bit more hardcore during others.
Naturally I played slightly less during the winter, but I consider going for a two hour walk every now and then in freezing weather (my beard was just a chunk of snow and ice) to be hardcore-ish.
Now that the weather is better I play a bit more, but not everyday. After reaching level 40 I don't grind as much (though I still catch a few every day), but focus more on raids. If a raid is announced in a nearby town I'll gladly jump on my bike and do the 30 minute journey there.
And I still occasionally do some slight grinding and sometimes catch 200-400 Pokemon in a day.

I actually didn’t play to start until my ex GF and her friend wanted to go to the parks and play. Once the craze died down is when I started picking it up more. Then once I moved in March and Gen 2 came around things continued then I altogether stopped. Then raids came around I played a lot more than I’d say it wasn’t until about 5-6 months ago did I play more hardcore but I’m still pretty casual. My job doesn’t allow me great days off or hours to play. Also having a car and not having a car has kept me from doing much. Lately I’ll walk around town squeezing in any solos I can when available but not much here
