Your gym berry dump priorities?

Which pokemon do you dump your berries in for a chance to get candy?

For me the priorities list is:
1. Dragonite=Tyranitar (I know Ttar is more valuable but I already walk it, and I still need to max out a Level 39 and Level 38 Dragonite)

2. Blissey/Chansey family

3. Snorlax

4. Slaking

5. Regional Pokemon that I don't have access to (or low on candy)

6. Pokemon who are actually low on motivation

Chansey/Blissey - since I dont want to have a pink punching ball to walk with me and am low on candy

Trasla/Kirlia/Gardevoir - because I need 160 more candy to max my 98% Gardevoir

As much as i would love to feed one, do players around your area already regularly put them into gyms for candy?

I think it's Milotic. I'll feed them if i can but they are actually a rare sight in gyms.

Was talking about the defender because it won't make sense if they placed feebas in gyms unironically.

Anything meta-relevant that I need candy for.

Right now it's
1. Dragonite/Ttar
2. Gen3 evos: Ralts/Feebas/Treecko/Torchic/Mudkip Families (these are rare)
3. Machamp/Zam/Golem/Gengar/Gyarados/Scizor
4. Exeggutor (just spent over 1200 candies trying to build a 3 man groudon team-currently at 55)
5. Blissey/Chansey/Snorlax (in case they ever become relevant again)
.....
.....
9. Fun things I may want to max one day Pinsir/Lapras/Jynx/Absol/Wigglytuff
10. Whatever is in the gym if I'm trying to finish off a gold gym badge.

lists are roughly ordered in priority (if more than one of the tier is present).

1. Wailmer, Feebas, Lotad families for dex
2. Blissey/Chansey
3. Ralts line
4. Snorlax
5. Dragonite=Tyranitar
6. Any gen 3 pokemon I have enough candy for but wouldn't mind more, like Slaking, starters. Also meta-relevant older pokemon.

Currently, I only feed Tyranitar family.

I'm dropping Larvitar in gyms just so I can remote feed them every 30 minutes...

But, that's just because I have two 96+IV Tyrants that need candy, and two more 96+IV Larvitar that need to be evolved. I'm in desperate need of tyrant candy....

I really do not understand the desperation for Larvitar candy, they are among the easiest to obtain by raiding, pinap and catch and voila, 20 candy! Recently it has become even easier to raid Tyranitar, which can easily be duo-ed with a bunch of decent Machamps in cloudy weather. Therefore I do not see the reason for teaming up with Tyranitar as buddy.

Because Tyranitars are useful and probably will be for a long time, so candies are beneficial unless you have 6 of them maxed out, even then you might want some with different movesets.

Tyranitar raids are pretty rare. I have a bunch of L38+ team mates that still don't have enough TTar candy despite prioritizing them heavily and having been able to trio the raid for months.

1 - upcoming level 5 raid
2 - Tyranitar
3 - dex entries I need to evolve
4 - Dragonite

Tyranitar is going to be the best dark attacker for some time, can never have enough candies.

I don't really use my Dragonites, only one that has DT/DC for sweeping gyms sees a bit of use, but more candies could be useful in the future.

Pokemon that I consider dex fillers I'm not going to walk for or use rare candies on, so candies are going to come from catches and berry feeding.

I only feed maybe 50 berries a week. So for maybe 1 candy a week it doesn't really matter much.

But I'm curious... can you get candy for a Regional that you don't have? If not, why feed that one?

You can in fact get Candy for a regional you don't have!

However, even with that fact it is still quite useless, I just do it for the lols haha

1 candy/50 berries is super optimistic. I'm fairly sure the average drop rate is lower, mine has been about 1% for the last 7000 berries.
